    Overview

    Sega Classics Arcade Collection is a compilation of Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games released for the Sega CD. It was a pack-in game for early SKUs of the system in North America and Europe, usually bundled with Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Vol I (and later Ecco the Dolphin).

    The game has two versions, the first with four games that was released in Japan and in North America during the latter's Sega CD launch window, while the second has five games and was released in Europe and North America (replacing the first edition). A handful of games saw improvements due to being available on CD for the first time, including sharper digitized voice samples and in some cases new title screen music.
