    Overview

Seirei Senshi Spriggan ("Spirit Warriors Spriggan") is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up for the PC Engine CD developed by Compile and published by Naxat Soft in 1991. It was eventually released on the Wii's Virtual Console in 2008.

The gameplay of Spriggan is much like most vertical scrolling shoot em' ups of the era. However the game features an orb system. The player can mix and match up to 3 different colored orbs (Red, Yellow, Blue, Green). Each combination creates drastically varying shot types.

Many fans of the game compare it to another Compile developed game, M.U.S.H.A. for the Sega Genesis. Both games have a similar art style, and a similar feel.
