I was looking to buy a new XBLA game and these two seem to be the favourites to get, both 1200MP, both 5 star reviewed, both presumably amazing. The only problem is deciding between them! So, I open this to the floor, those of you who have played both or those of you that love one enough to extoll its virtues to me, tell me which one is worth my money more! The XBLA games I already own are Super Meat Boy, Geometry Wars 2, 'Splosion Man, Trials HD and Pac Man CE DX .

Shadow Complex. I loved Limbo, but I loved Shadow Complex way more. If you like Metroidvania at all, it's sweet, sweet goodness. (Edit: forgot reasons!)

+ Huge map to explore filled with collectibles. 

+ Level up system that actually makes you feel like you're getting stronger.

+ Exploration based platforming where the map unlocks by you finding the "tools" to unlock it.

+ You feel like a badass at the end.

Shadow Complex. for sure. Much longer, and better. 

To be honest, I didn't care for either. Limbo quickly turns into a bunch of physics puzzles, Shadow Complex doesn't have as much variety in level design or equipment as I wanted out of that style of game. And nuts to Nolan North.
 
EDIT: You should get Braid, assuming that you don't have it somewhere else.

As much as I loved Limbo, get Shadow Complex. You'll have much more fun with that game.

Shadow Complex by a million miles!

Shadow Complex, every time. Unless you want a very sombre game with interesting art style. Otherwise, there's just more GAME in SC. 

Shadow Complex. Easily.

I easily preferred Limbo, depends on your tastes though I suppose. The Shadow Complex trial did nothing for me.

Shadow Complex is a better game than Limbo is.

Shadow Complex rocked & has a lot more replay time than Limbo. Plus once you get the upgraded strength with the power suit in SC, punching dudes with an insane amount of power is always entertaining.

SC has more content and replay, Limbo was just fun and short.  Both are fun games though and ideally you should get both if they ever go on sale.
