Shaggy 2 Dope (Joseph Utsler) is one half of the most universally panned music group in the world, the Insane Clown Posse. Shaggy is the more silly figure of the two, usually getting less verses and more choruses in the music compared to Violent J. Both members of the Insane Clown Posse appeared in both of the Backyard Wrestling games, since they have a wrestling league of their own, entitled JCW (Juggalo Championshit Wrestling). Yes, it's actually called Championshit.

Insane Clown Posse's music is an extremely vulgar but fun brand of hardcore rap music. They hail from the Detroit, Michigan area and grew up with popular rappers Eminem and Kid Rock. Their relationship with Eminem turned sour after a disagreement about a flyer promoting a concert.

The Insane Clown Posse typically rap about violence, sex, smoking marijuana, and evil. They claim that their music is all about a "Dark Carnival", which is a carnival of souls that travels around punishing wicked people for their sins and setting free the morally straight people. Almost all of their albums are "Joker's Cards", which are representations of the spirits in the Dark Carnival. Violent J (the other half of the Insane Clown Posse) said that the Dark Carnival appeared to him in one of his dreams, and that's what prompted him to start writing about it. On their album The Wraith: Shangri-La, it was revealed that the Dark Carnival is supposed to be a representation of God and the path to either Heaven or Hell.

He is known for asking the eternal question, "Fucking magnets, how do they work?" in their most infamous song, "Miracles".

Shaggy 2 Dope draws all of the Joker Card's artwork.

    The Dark Carnival

Each album of theirs represents a spirit in the Dark Carnival, or a "Joker's Card". There were six in the "first deck":

Carnival of Carnage - A representation of the suffering that goes on in the ghettos of America. It is a carnival that descends upon upper class towns and destroys them, representing the idea of the lower class being overlooked and finally getting a chance to speak out.

    Riddle Box
    Riddle Box

Ringmaster - Takes doomed souls from their bodies and escorts them to Hell. Oversees the Dark Carnival.

    The Great Milenko
    The Great Milenko

Riddle Box - A spirit in the form of a giant Jack-in-the-Box that decides your fate. When you turn the crank, you either see a vision of God or you're sent to Hell. When sent to Hell, the Riddle Box launches you into the air.

The Great Milenko - A necromancer who tries to trick people into following evil ways. Milenko creates "mind-bending illusions" in order to trick people. Also the group's most popular album, it is notable for being removed from shelves after the Disney-owned Hollywood Records deemed it to be unfit with their family-friendly image. It was later picked up by Island Records and released fully uncensored.

The Amazing Jeckel Brothers - Two brothers, Jake "The Just" Jeckel and Jack "The Sinister" Jeckel. They juggle blood-covered balls that represent sins, and if a ball drops, someone's soul is damned to Hell. Jack constantly throws balls at Jake to try to get him to drop them.

    The Wraith
    The Wraith

The Wraith - A representation of Death. He leads people into Shangri-La (Heaven), or Hell. The Wraith was separated into two parts. The first part was based on Shangri-La, and the second was called Hell's Pit. Hell's Pit is known for being the most dark Insane Clown Posse album to date.

After the completion of the first six Joker's Cards, the group took a break from the concept of Joker's Cards (But not necessarily from the Dark Carnival) and released The Tempest, a description of both a roller coaster and an intense storm that will destroy everything in its path. After there was an outcry from fans to return to the concept of Joker's Cards, they decided to do so. When they returned to the concept of Joker's Cards, they also returned to their longtime producer, Mike E. Clark. Mike Clark is really the creative force behind the beats and musical stylings of the Insane Clown Posse. Violent J, Shaggy 2 Dope, and fans alike shared a high excitement for Mike's return. He was the producer for the first five Joker's Cards, and Bang! Pow! Boom!.

Recently, the group has announced a "second deck" of Joker's Cards that further explore the mythology of the Dark Carnival.

    So far, they include:

Bang! Pow! Boom! - Fireworks with lethal explosions at the Dark Carnival that go off to clear the area of too many spirits, when the lines to the attractions are too crowded. Came in three colors, each with their own album intro song and bonus track.

    The Mighty Death Pop!
    The Mighty Death Pop!

The Mighty Death Pop! - Representation of the fragility of human life. The Mighty Death Pop is a balloon, and when it pops, your life is over. The cover features the face of the Mighty Death Pop inflated to a regular size, while a lenticular cover included in the album features the Mighty Death Pop inflating and eventually popping. It was released in three versions with three cover colors, dubbed "Red Pop", "White Pop", and "Black Pop". White Pop features "Mike E. Clark's Extra Pop Emporium" a remix album of The Mighty Death Pop, Red Pop features a cover album called "Smothered, Covered and Chunked", and Black Pop features one disc-length rap song with no hooks or choruses called "Freaky Tales". The song is all about sex and a take on the classic song "Freaky Tales" by Too Short, hence the name. It was released on August 14, 2012.
