So I got on steam and saw that this game does not support XP.  That is total shit! I have been looking forward to getting this game but I guess I wont be able to play it now.  Is XP dying off? Will all new games drop XP?

The game doesn't support DirectX 9.  You need Vista or 7, and a DX10 video card.

XP is not dying, it's just Futuremark being stupid and limiting their game audience.  As I said in the other thread I was in the beta, and the graphics don't seem to warrant DX10 exclusivity.

If anything more released games recently have DX9 support only (rather than DX10 and 9) than before.

It sucks that it doesn't work on Xp. Oh well, now I have another reason to upgrade.

Well XP is old now, Microsoft wants everyone to upgrade, and this time their newest OS can actually be called an upgrade.  I don't know much about how it works, but I guess Futuremark just made a very nice looking game on DirectX 10 and didn't want to take the time to optimize it for lower end systems that need to use DirectX 9.  To play the latest games, sometimes you need to upgrade your computer.

I hate it when people type "XP" on the internet, it pisses me off. Why are you sticking your tongue out at me with your eyes closed? What did I do to you? How rude.

@Emandudeguyperson: Don't blame us, Microsoft has been doing it since 2001.
