Shiden is Kasumi's father and he first appears in the tutorial at the beginning of Dead or Alive Dimensions.

Overview
Shiden is the seventeenth head of the Mugen Tenshin ninja clan of the Dead or Alive (Franchise) series. He is the father of Kasumi (Character) and Hayate (Character) and the uncle of Ayane (Character). Shiden's brother Raidou (Character) raped Shiden's wife Ayame, leading to Ayane's birth. For most of the history of the series, Shiden was a background NPC, but finally made a both physical and playable appearance in Dead or Alive: Dimensions. He appears in the game's story mode, and is also confronted as the final opponent in the game's hardest arcade ladder. Shiden is also a hidden playable character in Dimensions. He can be selected by highlighting the random select icon on the character select screen and pressing either L + X, R + X, or L + R + X. His costume depends on the input used.
