So what does FES mean anyway? They had started to discuss this on one of the Bombcasts but the topic was quickly changed to funny hats.
I started this game, and it's OK, but I'm not sure why it gets all the great reviews. Does it take a turn towards greatness later or become more epic than simply being routine with the day-to-day of high school? I definitely plan to stick with it and I think it has the potential to be great, but right now I'm not seeing it.

I don't know much about the pokemon (of course I know what it is, I just never played any of the games). I think I was just expecting a more traditional RPG in the vein of Final Fantasy, Tales, Shadow Hearts, Star Ocean, etc. I'm totally going to try and give it a chance though, because so many people seem to like it.

I still haven't finished it because I've been kind of lazy to pick it up but I finished the original at around 110 hours.
I just love the ending, one of the best endings ever made!
