Hey all,

Browsing IMDB I found they now have a full catalog on video games so I went through all my favorites and finally got to Persona.
I discovered that Atlus hired a pretty stellar VO cast.
 

You what a good one. Rise Kujikawa Japanese voice actor or seiyuu is Rie Kugimiya.

How's about this:

Yuri Lowenthal voiced the Persona 3 Main Characters' grunts.
Johnny Yong Bosch is pretty big in the business, being in bigshot Anime dubs like Ichigo in Bleach and Lelouch in Code Geass.

Well, those guys get a fair amount of gigs just for the fact that the VA pool is usually somewhat small, getting people with good resumes and such so it's likely to play  "Hey, Charlie's a Power Ranger!" with a lot of voices.

Yuri Lowenthal was also the Prince in Sands of Time. That guy is a legend.

Looking through there, you forgot to add that Yuri Lowenthal voiced the Prince in the Sands of Time trilogy. Just thought I should put that out there...

I remember looking the cast up a few months ago, and realising that Ive been hearing Rise's voice actor since i was a kid in DBZ. Also, how Yuri Lowenthal can pull off so many different voices is absolultey beyond my comprehension.

Nice list. Coming in here I half expected to see John DiMaggio on that list somewhere. That dude is in everything.

I guess I'll play some more Prototype to see if I can find Yosuke screaming as I tear him apart. Help take care of some of my dislike for the character.

I believe most of those are correct, but are we certain Danielle Judovits voiced Chie? Most fans seem to be speculating that she was voiced by Tracey Rooney. Can someone try to find confirmation?

It's really annoying that the credits of most of these VO company productions don't list individual roles. As such, here's Danielle Judovits' voiceover reel page. To me, that doesn't sound like Chie at all.

But, bwhahaha, this thread helped me dig up Chie's real voice actress: Tracey Rooney. She has some clips on her myspace page here. That's definitely her. And she's 33! That goes in line with all the negative reactions to Chie sounding "old" when clips were first released. But now, I can't imagine her sounding different.

Wow, I'm playing Red Faction right now. I'm gonna imagine the main guy as Kanji for the rest of the game.

Troy was Yuri on Tales of Vesperia also, excellent job there...and Sam Regal also does some additional voices in there at times, i've noticed him

Dave Whittenberg is the effing man...he's kakashi sensei on naruto among the millions of other things he's done......Johnny and Yuri are also huge in anime also and i enjoy the roles they play.

The most notable ones for me were...

Charlie = Ichigo from Bleach...  "Nothing really interesting"...  Bah.  Ichigo is kinda a big deal if you ask me.
Yosuke = "Mysterious Boy"/Pharos from Persona 3.
Kanji = Alec from Red Faction.
Rise = Chun Li in SFIV, and was in an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger...  Insta-win.
Nanako = Aigis/Chidori from Persona 3.  She also voices characters in "ZOMG BEWBZ!" games such as DOAX2 and RRX, which is disturbing seeing as she's a slightly old lady.

I kinda jacked some of those from Jon, but those were the ones that stood out the most to me.

I also noticed that they all (or most of them at least) had a part in several shows/movies...  I saw a lot of RE: Degeneration and Bleach.  For some reason, most of them were crediteds for just one episode of Naruto, which is odd, seing as they're listed as rather central characters. (Sasuke, Kakashi, TenTen)

You forgot to mention Johnny Yong Bosch is also the voice of young detective. Some will probably recognize his voice as Ichigo from Bleach.

Troy Barker is also playing Snow In FFXIII

Yuri Lowenthal played three characters in P3: The MC, Pharos and Ryoji.
Quite interesting if you consider how close these three guys are related nonetheless.
And again, Troy Barker is a legend, he has been in countless Animes as well as Atlus titles.

It's funny when you recognize these voices in other games. Yosuke was also in the Valkyria Chronicles DLC, he was the soldier that accompanies Selvaria. But that's a minor role compared to the other things he did.

Tales of Vesperia is probably in my top ten games of all time, and that's coming from a guy who usually hates JRPGs. Plus, Estelle was my favorite character. Therefore, this is the best day ever.

Started playing Star Ocean last hope and was suprised to hear Rise again. Has a big list of her work on her site http://www.lizardbee.com/voice.html, the commericals sound pretty funny, Doritos add is totally Rise. Got more Laura Baily with Disgaea 3 next, looking forward to it, she has a great voice.

Would never of guessed she played Isara in Valkyria Chronicles though!

Not true that Chie and Estelle are voiced by the same actor (just listen to one after the other and it's really obvious they're not the same person) - Danielle Judovits voices Estelle, while Tracy Rooney voices Chie, though this has pretty much been established already in this thread ^^;

Fun Fact about Yuri Lowenthal: The dude is AWESOME and was kind enough to do an interview with me and my fellow podcasters. He was also featured in season 2 of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles....He played Garvin in two episodes (don't know who that is since I've only seen season 1). Honestly, he's one of the coolest guys I've ever had the pleasure of chatting with.

I think that was actually the first one I listened to. I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy DF, so I decided to start with the one that I figured I'd enjoy the most. I mean seriously, it's Yuri fucking Lowenthal!
