I mean it be nice to get P5 but i really liked the characters in P4 and it be nice to see the story continue. What do you think?
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4
Game » consists of 5 releases. Released Jul 10, 2008
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is a role-playing game developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation 2. It is chronologically the fifth installment in the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series. Like its predecessor, its gameplay combines a traditional role-playing game with elements of a social simulation. Its critical and commercial success spawned a sizable media empire, including several spinoff titles.
Would like it if they continue the story?
" @Eirikr: what was there left in P3? Make something up. "Exactly. The Answer was horrible. P4's characters deserve better than that.
On the other hand, I don't want to outright disagree and I think if a story were to continue, to do it in the fashion that P1/P2 did with extended character cameos.
Atlus have flat out said they're not making a FES expansion for P4. Also the story was very much ended. Hell, if you get the true ending ( -------------------------spoilers) The TV world pretty much ceases to exist (end spoilers----------------------). As much as I want more Persona, I think I'll just wait for P5.
Why do people keep asking this question? The story is as done as can be, just freaking accept that. It's thanks to these people that all the popular franchises get sequels that ultimatly lessen the experience.
I don't know guys, Persona 42 sounds like an epic game.
Seriously though, as much as I loved the characters in this game.. I feel they could only make it worse by continuing the story. They put a bow on this game basically. Which isn't a bad thing, cliff hangers and sequels in this day and age are starting to wear on me.
The characters in P4 are truely memorable and after completing the game, i must say that i do miss them! But i'd only agree to seeing those characters return if the story didn't suck and it made sense somehow. I'd hate to taint the awesome story and the way that it ended with something that sucked.
<SPOILERS>.....................I do wish that the MC stayed in Inaba though, that's the only thing i'd change about the ending. I guess it's up to the players imagination to determine whether the MC moves back later on. I certainly hope he did!
Yeah. I never liked director's cuts much. Good thing there isn't gonna be a P4 FES... the game was packed with everything it should have had.
They should start with a new state like they always do in the next Persona. I'd like to have a protagonist that isn't a highschooler, though. Yeah, Persona is all about highschool kids saving the world, but they could pull another Maya character (an adult working with high schoolers) like they did with P2. Something like that needs to be done right though, otherwise it'd just be kinda creepy.

"Hey now, I love Persona as much as the next guy, but I'm not quite yet ready to speculate on Persona 42. Maybe I will be once we hit 16: International Edition or something, but right now seems a bit premature to be discussing a number 42 installment.
I'm being a smartass, I know.
In all seriousness, though, I definitely agree. The true ending wraps things up nicely as it is. I think those characters pretty much earned the right to go back to having normal lives and I would therefore just prefer another new crew unless Atlus could do a damn good job at convincing me that reusing the Persona 4 bunch is a viable idea. I really love that game and its characters, but let's keep them in a state where they can stay that way; going the route of Square-Enix by expanding on an already finished product a la Final Fantasy VII spinoffs could do the series more harm than good.
There will not be a direct sequel to Persona 4. Atlus has said that they'll never make a P4 FES and Persona 4's True ending wraps things up nicely. There will be a Persona 5, and there will probably be references from Persona 4 just like there were Persona 3 references in Persona 4.

I can envision something like Trinity Soul happening, it's unlikely but it could happen.
" @KaosAngel said:No...what I mean is that if there was a post-P4 anime it would be the same as Trinity Soul. P3 and P4 take place in the same time (only a year or two apart) and Trinity Soul takes place a few years after P3 when everyone is grown up. There would be no point for a Post-P4 anime because it would be the same story as Trinity Soul."@FluxWaveZ said:I can envision something like Trinity Soul happening, it's unlikely but it could happen. We already knows what happens after P4.

But even if it's within the same time frame the stories take place in different locations.
"But even if it's within the same time frame the stories take place in different locations. "I guess...but I think the story would be the same. Special Cop Unit have persona and can summon in the real world to fight gangs who have them. Trinity Soul is enough, and I guess Kanji/Rise would be the best bet for the Special Cop Unit as was Akihito in P3.
" I would love to see the characters from P4 back in P5 but I don't know how you'd do that. It all ends so nicely if you get the true ending. "
Well they could mention Naoto in P5. Like she became a big detective or something like that. Or even Rise on a commercial.
In Persona 5, Kanji becomes a death metal singer and he's currently touring Europe, where he happens to be playing in the same town as the MC, helping him from time to time using the experience he had from P4.
I havent started P4 yet. But I am already starting to see signs of the point were I fell like I have had enough of the characters from P3 and want to move onto something fresh. I anticipate that this will be the same when I do finally finish P3 and get into P4 as well. I think Persona 5 should just be a whole new start.
