Shoma is a brash and impulsive person with a short fuse who was known for getting into fights before joining his school's baseball team. He is very self-conscious about his height, which Natsu takes great pleasure in ridiculing. He is childhood friends with Nagare whom he sees as a brother figure. All his friends know he and Natsu have feelings for each other but they both have trouble admitting it.
