As a kid MK was the same to me. You had Street Fighter, which was cool but I was terrible at, and then you had Mortal Kombat. It just looked so cool to my teenage mind.

And you're taking requests for alright obscure games, One Must Fall 2097 I remember being good. And likewise if you're looking for terrible obscure fighting games, One Must Fall Battlegrounds would fit that bill!

I totally expected MK to be in the top 10, but I guess I can't argue with science.

I hope they hit up Killer Instinct Gold next time. I had a real love/hate relationship with it.

Wow, I can't remember the last time I saw someone actually *play* Mortal Kombat. It gets clipped in videos often enough but typically people just show Fatalities or the briefest snippets vs bosses or cpus. Super nostalgic.

Also; Bring Back Bushido Blade. There's so much potential in that idea.

@juicejive: The tragedy of Bushido Blade right there. I've seen it come up online plenty over the years, it's a bit of a cult classic after all, but I've never seen anyone go more in depth then our intrepid scientists here. Which is fine; this is Science not EVO.

I'd love to see some high level play of BB some day by people who really know the move listS and universal movement tech. But it's just not that game. Not enough people will ever care and it's not popular enough for anyone to "make content" based on it in 2019. Real Bushido Blade will always be lost to the 90's sadly.

Man, Bushido Blade is rad. Love the little touch of the defeated character's eyes snapping back open when you continue.

The first Mortal Kombat is still a great game. It's probably nostalgia, but I still love it. I go back to it all the time on my Genesis.

Man memories... I used to to play MK at my local duck pin bowling alley. That place was something special for arcade games. MK was always near lanes 1-5, SF near lanes 11-15 Watching this I can smell that alley.

And when MK 2 came out, daaaaamn was there some heat on what side you walked to.
