If fellow C&C fans thought the elevator lady's voice sounded familiar, I'm guessing it's the same person who did the EVA voice in C&C, considering that Westwood made this. They are actually getting her back to re-record lines for the upcoming remaster.

Final Cut is the best cut apart from being afflicted with some color grading

I played more of this game, for the first time, and am pretty much blown away by the amount of variance from playthrough to playthrough. Theres a whole bunch of stuff randomly generated each playthrough (many of the NPC's can either be Replicants or not) and things turning out quite different depending on which clues you find. It's great! And nothing's ever really done anything like it, I think.

So I just watched Blade Runner for the first time 5 minutes ago 4k HDR. I've seen BR 2049 4k hdr and I was mesmerized by that movie on my LG OLED. I would say the original in this format would have been impressive ten years ago and it still holds up as a good movie. The score and a lot of shots in this movie are amazing but 2049 blows it away.

This is what I pay my money for. Nice calm streams, no shouting, no gimmicks, just a good old fashioned “Random PC Game”.

The player characters voice actor sounds like the same one from Beneath a Steel Sky.

I revisited this game a month or so ago. It was fun, but damn is it easy to miss things. I scoured that surveillance footage from the beginning for an hour, and still missed the ankle bracelet.

Give me a hard copy of that.

@ultimaxe: I watched Blade Runner in film studies in high school and had pretty much the same reaction; and granted, the person I was in HS was a very less introspective and open minded person, but even I had seen one or two "can robots feeeeeeeeeeeeel?" stories by that point and Blade Runner felt like something that inspired the hell out of ALL of those stories, but that made it hard to go back to. Kinda like going back and watching Psycho and remembering "Oh, right! This movie ENDS by explaining its - now practically common knowledge - twist to you."

I appreciated the quiet moments where it just let you draw conclusions based on what you were watching, which is obviously something that is only notable because of the terrible theatrical release, but still.

Luckily, Detroit: Become Human exists, so we can experience "Blade Runner, but this time the androids are the good guys." Thanks, David Cage!

Welp I know what im going to bed to for a few weeks. Does anyone else regularly go to bed to Mass Alex or similar videos? Theres a lot of good sounds in these older games!

You can sometimes circumvent "video is private" errors by clicking on the Download option and watching the video in the window that opens.

I tried to post this message when the error was ongoing (the trick worked for me), but I always got an invalid token error that prevented my comment from posting, no metter how many times I refreshed the page or left and came back.

Random PC Games!

I was getting an error when I tried to play the video as well but there is a small ellipses button in the bottom center when clicked it shows an option that says something like "Go Back to GB Video Player". Selecting that resolved the issue for me.

It looks like it might be an issue where it tries to play via YouTube but since this is a premium video there's probably something funky going on with access control. Anyways, hope my comment helps someone out.

This game was a huge technical break through at the time. You can find YouTube pseudo documentaries about it and what they went through creating it. Def worth a watch.
