In regards to Jeff's question about "How many people didn't buy dragon age 2 because they heard about the repetative nature of the dungeons?", I'll say I definetly decided not to buy it because of that as well as the reviews that say it has a go-nowhere plot.

From what I heard Duke Nukem is still in the process of recording the soundtrack so there could be any number of things they could be wrapping up in that extra month of dev time.

As for showing off your computer, Jeff, Metro 2033 in DX11 seems to be what most people are using to stress their systems.

There probably more to the animation file developers have that they can't share it between studios. Also like Jeff said, everything from sounds and movement would end up being the same.

To speak to Ryan's question about the feasiblity of an indie studio pushing the limits of hardware.  I would point to the demoscene as an example where this is done routinely.  Probably the best recent example is Fairlight's demo 'Agenda Circling Forth' (http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=54603)--and this was coded by a _single_ individual.  Check it out if you want to see a production pushing art and hardware to their limits!

Remember Jak 2 and Jak 3, where you could turn the subtitles on and off just by pressing the Square button during cutscenes?  I still wonder why that function never caught on.

Ryan's 3DS story has shown me an unfamiliar, empathic side to him that I don't really get to see that often.  I don't want to say never to give him the benefits of the doubt and to mitigate the potential of me showing my ignorance.  But nicely done though, huge karma points to you, you've gone from a vault boogeyman to a vault legend.
