PS4 controllers are just bad about stick drift I think. I own three, one even being the newest model with the light bar on the touch pad, and all of them eventually got stick drift. I've opened them up to clean the insides dozens of times now and it always comes back.

I used to read EGM in June 1 month after E3 to get the news starting in 1998, in 2004 I started watching the conferences on Gamespot. I think the Nintendo one was live.

I don't know much about Langrisser as a franchise, but I did love playing Warsong (which was a Langrisser localization) on my Genesis.

12.5 minutes is clearly not enough time for a Business Dave Top 10. If anything the people demand an extension and merch deal.

@jjbsterling: I both had controllers from launch and bought a new one last year but never had any problems with drifting.

Brad should check out DUSK, really good campaign.

Diabotical is great but the beta is 20% pro fps players and 80% tryhards so watch out for that. Brad played against B4nny, the literal GOAT of Team Fortress 2.

What stream are Jeff and Vinny talking about at the beginning with the FMVs? That sounds like a stream I should have seen, but I don't see any recent streams that match that description.

this is a good stream, they played some arena shooter, brad played some quake-like, and Jeff finished with that racing car, it's like 2012, but 2020.

I played through the Quake 1 campaign for the first time last month and had a blast. I couldn't put it down. It holds up very well.

Why didn't that AEW Business Dave sign guy show a picture of the sign so you could see what it actually looked like?

@goulash_enjoyer, @shricher I think they were referencing that Vinny has more experience showing it on stream, like with Tender Loving Care which is an FMV game that not even John Hurt and copious gratuitous nudity could save. By comparison the FMV nudity in BMX XXX was at least straight to the point and didn't involve god awful acting.

I miss the long format BD Top Ten. I had to pause the video just to see the beach towel snake video!

I wonder why Unreal Tournament seems more popular then Quake. I also prefer UT but that's simply because it's what I played with my friend. I have no opinion on Quake really.

I assume it has to be things like this that put UT in the lead, since people who "know" seem to always prefer Quake.

So what was it?

Better marketing? Better demo distribution? Easier to pirate? I remember it looking way more impressive then Quake, so it'd win the war of "New and Shiny > Something Good" as is always the case. Better hardware compatibility with ye old vidyeocards?

Or was UT actually just a better game then Quake?

UT has the flak cannon. Quake does not.

I'm with Jeff on the E3 take: If they cancel it this year then I don't see it coming back next year.

It was barely relevant last year, then they had a bunch of scandals over leaking press attendee details, which happened several times over the years, while all the major publishers and developers keep moving towards Twitch streams/Nintendo Direct style events.

Under these kinds of conditions, I do not see E3 come back next year, at least not without changing some major things to offer more incentives for everybody involved.
