@hughj: thank you you're right and I feel pretty dumb when I meant real time but that was a good read. Carmack is the equivalent of an old master to coding that Rembrandt was at painting. It took one hour to implement dynamic lighting because of course it did.

I'm gonna workshop the pancake/mozz sticks recipe. I think the issue is the two sauces. I'd probably do a cream cheese icing instead of syrup. Or, if absolutely needing syrup, use real maple and let the pancakes soak and dust with confectioners sugar.

I think there's a solution to the pancake, but I don't know if I'm the guy to figure it out.
