How is listening to Jordan Peterson radical? I enjoy listening to him. I understand Shapiro. But what ever happened to appreciating multiple point of views.

I despise Ben Shapiro, but that tweet you're referring to where he obsesses over his sister is a fake made up by 4chan. He's written plenty of other awful and pathetic tweets though.

HBomberGuy's videos are amazing, although it's hard to get a read on his character. He used to do some heinous shit online, hung out with some problematic people, but only did a 180 and claimed to develop "troll's remorse" at the same time his youtube career took off. I'm just glad he's picking better targets now

Once again, thanks for another great ep! I'm looking forward to these as much as the whole crew.

*trying to be cryptic to avoid spoils*

I remember when I started S4, I was INCREDULOUS about how Joseph's actions would affect the future.

I had clearly forgotten.

I love this podcast, and I hope to still love it. I certainly have no use for far right political figures, but neither do I have use for politics in my entertainment. It's just my personal opinion, but I come to listen about Jojo's because I don't want to engage about a bunch of political issues. I had even told a friend that this podcast was superior because it is fun, and sticks to the material at hand. Seems like this week there were sidetrack rants on political talking heads, animal cruelty, etc.

I mean, this is a story where Jack the ripper emerges from the body of a horse. I don't think tripping a cat makes the top 100,000 violent events in the series. But it did seem to offend everyone. It's getting a bit to real for me. This is a work of fiction that is as far out as can be. Not a launch pad for the world's ills. At least that's my take. I still love your stuff. Don't take this the wrong way.

How many podcasts/videos have been hosted on this site that can never remember stalagmites vs stalactites? And NONE of them EVER mentioned the easiest method I learned in school to remember. StalacTites are like a capital T and point down from the ceiling and stalagMites are like a capital M and point up from the ground.

@wulfbane: Fascinating that there are so many different ways to remember stalactites and stalagmites. I remember because stalCtites grow from the ceiling and stalaGmites grow from the ground.

@chamurai: I will say that much like I was today years old when I learned that “wheelbarrel” isn’t a word, combined with my poor spelling, I thought both were spelled with a G (stalag- prefix on both) until my iPad was kind enough to know that stalactite had a C.

Minor correction, the Pillar Men aren't vampires. They're an ancient rock warriors. The stone masks they made turn humans into vampires and those vampires can turn other things into zombies.

@spacehog1981:

People generally love cats and hate Nazis, it feels pretty apparent why they react the way they do when those things come up in the story.

Edit: Now I realise you probably mean Shapiro but my point still stands.

@armor_kinngh: it's mostly that they're very shallow and lack empathy. For example, thinking that selling coastal property is some kind of solution when the problem is that the land will literally be under water. It's crass to suggest that it's an easy problem to solve, repugnant to suggest it would be ok to offload that problem onto someone else, and idiotic to think it would work in the first place.

The bubble redemption was surelythe sweet, sweet vindication that John was yearning for. The others will certainly be ashamed of their words and deeds for dumping on Joseph. Of course, he's a human trash pile, but certainly not the worst JoJo. And by worst, I mean least entertaining. Morally, he's rock bottom.

StalaCTites have the sharp sound and can hurt you if they fall, stalagMites have the softer sound and mound on the ground

Always felt "mound" was the strong part of this

The guy raised over $347,000 for a transgender children's charity. He's a good egg.

He played a marathon session of DK64 while sending all viewer donos to a trans youth phone hotline. Which is a good thing to support, but he picked that org primarily to troll Graham Linehan, and by requiring every caller to say "Fuck Graham Linehan". Again, I'm glad he's picking better targets now, although I think there are child welfare organizations where the money could have been put to better use

Actually insufferable episode. Random political garbage being forced in with a side of acting like gigantic pussies for minutes over a fictional cat is definitely a recipe for something enjoyable.

Wow, you're super-pleasant. Sorry that people complaining about a gag scene has gotten you this upset, have you considered being less of a snowflake?

So just to point out, Rose from Street Fighter is based off Lisa Lisa. Jojo's is crazy influential! Great podcast as always.

Also, fun fact: the first time I heard Jojo's music was in this giantbomb edit that features Elephant Talk from Battle Tendency: https://youtu.be/PbviNjxcnA8?t=52

I doubt that you guys are, but I just wanted to say, don't be rattled by the clowns upset with the "political talk" in this episode. Keep giving your honest reactions and viewpoints on everything as you go through, even get straight political because everything is political anyway. My brother and I appreciate your guys' anti-asshole views and that you would speak out!

Adored the cat debate😂

Still loving this show sooo much!

Just wanna give everyone heads up.
The one who complains about too political are the ones who registered for an account several days ago.
Not condemning neo nazis and tolerating white supremacists brought us the Buffalo mass shooter.
The same people are okay about political talk, when it doesn't involve their own race.

It's funny that the people on the podcast wave away the Mario pronunciation as "an American thing" when they're guilty of the same thing. It's true that the way most Americans pronounce it with an emphasis on the "r" as Mar-io isn't quite right, but it's closer to the proper Mah-rio (emphasis is on the first syllable) than it is to Merry-oh. I assume they're not familiar with the Italian or Spanish pronunciations. But I don't know offhand the language distribution in Europe to say whether Tam's claim that most people in Europe say it like them is correct.

@cyberspacecat: yes, I realize people generally like cats and dislike nazis. I mean, I am in that crowd as well. I own 3 cats and do no approve of Nazis. But I do value human life. I value human life even of those people that I find disagreeable (Nazis). Oscar Schindler from the movie Schindler's List was a Nazi. So I don't think that all people who are associated with that party automatically deserve a gruesome death. I'm not saying you believe that they do either to be clear. I am just saying why I posted what I did. If anything in Jojo's is offensive it is the casual slaughter of hundreds of people. That's why I find it so strange that a cat getting pushed around is what really bothered the panel. I mean, sure hundreds of deaths, but that cat...

The group of people historically who did condemn others to death based on the group they belonged to was actually the Nazis. So for us to look at 100% of them and say they all deserve death for their group association is to become just like them.

@spacehog1981:
I find it easier to distance oneself from fictional harm on humans (and nazis) than the abuse of a fictional cat or dog. I think the reason it bothered the crew so much is that our supposed hero Joseph is just out here tripping a cat for no reason.

Also I'm just not here for the "not all nazis" argument, they're nazis.
