You're not alone! In fact, this reminds me of when I used to live in Arlington, Virginia. I once scheduled an e-waste pickup with the county, and the instructions were to place your items at the curb in front of your house, in a bin marked "E-Waste".

Without Dan this would have been a boring ass stream. Lol.

My friend group played a lot of beer pong highschool/college age, and we always just put water in the cups and then when someone made it the other team had to take a big drink from whatever they were drinking.

We also played a decent amount of this game where there were 3 players to a team, each team stands at one end of a table. Everyone has a beer can in front of them and the teams take turns trying to hit the other team's cans with a ping pong ball. You had to hit the can once to open it, then after the can gets open, if it gets hit again, the person has to drink from it until their teammates retrieve the ball and set it down on the table. First team to drink all their beer looses. I never knew the name of this game. I only ever played it at a friend of a friends house, and while it was a lot of fun, the people in the house took it way too seriously and were super big dicks about it all.

Regarding the whiskey drinking

I'm not a huge snob, I absolutely understand people not liking it because I absolutely hated the taste of whiskey for years until it finally "clicked" for some reason. Now I drink straight and can actually discern and more importantly enjoy the taste of it.

That said -

If you do get nice whiskey from someone, like for instance Woodford Reserve, and you don't like whiskey at all then hey just give it to someone that does. It seems like a tremendous waste to mix it with soda and then say "oh man I can still taste it ugh." It's almost like if someone gave you an expensive gift and you used it as a doorstop when a piece of plastic would do. Just pass it along to someone that might enjoy it, why waste it.

If you wanna get buzzed from a mixed drink then my suggestion is to buy cheap vodka. It's strong, it's inexpensive and nearly all vodka tastes the same. It also mixes really well because it doesn't have secondary flavors like whiskey does.

I know no one cares, but I just wanted to get it out there since as a whiskey drinker it always seems like a huge waste unless you're mixing like Jack Daniels or Johnny Walker which is almost made to be mixed because it's so bad.

EDIT: Oh yah just wanted to add that I realize they got the whiskey on this stream as a gift and to be nice they wanted to drink it despite not enjoying whiskey, because someone took the effort to buy and send it to them. I just wrote all that stuff up there for future reference.

Ah this is just a really fun crew. Thanks to Broadway Alex for always being such an enjoyable presence. And of course thanks to non-Broadway Alex, Dan and Abby for the same. You guys are a great time.
