I like the recent UPFs too, just not this one nor any stream focused entirely on competitive games. I know a lot of people do like these. I can continue to slag on them but it really boils down to them highlighting old games already covered multiple times on the site, not a great display for crew personality/commentary (what drives me to the site), and being too generic -- this is what you find on most YouTube gaming channels, friends incoherently yelling and goofing.

If it's new games, that's at least interesting. Or if it's not 4 player games, you at least have other people commentating. For whatever reason, that Vinny vs Dan Soul Calibur series was really fun so sometimes these work for me. Just voicing my opinion. I think it's a good thing they add variety with streams like these, I just am glad they aren't the norm.

That said this episode was a high point of recent UPF's because of how psychotic it was. It's really hard to compare anyone to jeff, vinny, or ryan, but this crew is still really solid. It's especially fun to see dave and even jan grow as 'entertainers' or whatever and make me lose my shit almost every time

All that said, I really do hope rorie's okay though, goodness

i will say i was kind of disappointed i didnt get to see UPF as a whole be completely befuddled by Ancestors but I hope we will all get that in the next week or two.

I have been bored by the average UPF for a long time, Jeff or no Jeff. To me it's not about the line up (I actually really love the dynamic that Rorie, Ben and Dave have) but about what people play on the stream. To me, a UPF is when they are continously interacting naturally and energetically as a group. That's why Dave's top tens have been the only real highlight for the past few weeks for me. Often, one person being very much focused on a game that doesn't really lend itself for commentary is when the interactions become forced or strained. Loved this show!

Big fan of this lineup and of the more unstructured UPFs. I mean that's what the U stands for anyway right? Unstructured Pee Fridays?

This UPF was fine. Rorie was in peak form though lol. Relax duders.

As someone who has put it at least 1000 hours on Rocket League, I forgot how painful it is to watch people who have hardly played the game before. I'm sure I would look the same playing Dota 2 or many other games, but damn.

The cast is great. Every member of the crew is different and can bring fun to the table in their own way.

I feel that if anything has sapped some of the UPF enjoyment it may be the desk. When the studio was setup with the couch and table people tended to face each other and have more off topic conversations. The desk faces them at the monitor and cameras the whole time and takes away some of the personal engagement.

That being said, I understand that they felt the need to change things up. I still support this site and will continue to do so. Some of the most fun and positive engagement to be had on the internet is found here.

Strong chaotic energy this UPF. Into it.

I've really enjoyed these recent UPF's, in large part thanks to Rorie and Business Dave bringing their personalities and energy to the show.

Of course I miss Jeff, we all do, but he should take as much time off with his family as he can! The regular crew still kicks ass, shout-out to Ben and Jason in this particular video, and Jan consistently crushes it on and off camera.

I guess I don’t understand when people don’t like the competitive games. My only issue is I have to pay closer attention than normally, haha.

Then again, I also really love anytime they play JackBox and some of the community hates it. Everyone has different tastes.

Dan is the one with the reputation, but I feel like people never acknowledge all the weird shit Rorie randomly comes out with.

I love 99.9% of the videos on Giant Bomb but I am getting a liiiiittle tired of Mount Your Friends, Gang Beasts, and UCH on this show. I feel like I watched the duders play these games a dozen times. Not screaming and crying here but wanted to offer some feedback from a longtime member.

Generic I don't like "this kind of stream" compared to "kind of UPF I like".

Generic paean to "olden times GB" and complaint about anyone under 35 on the stream.
