Ohhh fun! Loved the first game. Keep meaning to pick this up... if only to paint lovely, lovely spaceships.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is a very Vinny game. So, when is Dan going to show us his Fire Emblem: Three Houses save? On the next Playdate, mayhaps?

I don't remember ever hearing about this game, or its series, but this looks pretty damn cool.

I immediately thought the voice actress of the protagonist sounded familiar, I thought it was the audiobook narrator for the Stephanie Plum books (a bit random...), but, turns out it is Lani Minella, none other than Nancy Drew herself! As well as many other video game characters. That makes two playdates in a row starring her.

This pool game looks great, but that space trucking mini game was a weird inclusion.

I actually choked at "paint a dick on this guy"

I hear this game runs into the same problem as the first in having zero end-game content and the same loop of a few different mission types.

That's just what I've heard, though, so maybe research it before you buy.

Do you know if the difficulty scales with your ship getting stronger/upgraded like the first game as well?

This looks so much fun! I've not really been into any "space" games since... probably Dead Space. Although this is completely different, I really like the look of it. May have to look into getting it.

Also I always really like when Will and other GB alumni are in chat. As a Giant Bomb fan since the beginning it makes me feel happy that they're still connected in some way.

While I absolutely get Vinnie being annoyed at chat, my dude you were spending a lot of time in the menus trying to adjust for flight stock controls, and it didn’t make for the most scintillating gameplay on a stream. I for one appreciate you switching.

Watching Alex's soul leave his body during Vinny and Dan's gambling escapades is giving me life.

The actual cockpit stuff does absolutely nothing for me, but the fucking about before and after at the hub/base was fun.

This would have been a bit better if the HOTAS stuff was setup before the actual stream.

@sekou: You maybe missed the bit not long after where he admitted he wanted to change anyway, he was just teasing chat.

This has been a really fun game for me, but it does have a bit of a tutorial problem where, even if you have the control mappings, it doesn't adequately explain to how certain mechanics work in the beginning. There are tool tips on the top, but with all the visual overload on the screen it can easily be missed. It would've been better had they started you with a locked in tutorial mission of how you flew the ship and made you you took that information in.

That thruster thing took me a bit to get used to as well.

Can we get a series where Dan plays some space games with HOTAS? This isn't the first time he's talked about missing out on those games, and he seems interested.

Call it DOTAS: Dan on Throttle and Stick.

I like this game a lot and Vinny is so fun to watch. In the end I'm not going for it though, because the soundtrack is just so-so and it's so loud it overwhelms all the rest of the game. Bummer.

... hmm, it got quieter at the end of the stream. Must be adjustable after all.

This game looks cool but I hate the player character design. It's the worst design by committee boring nothing.

Gonna finally install that copy of the first game that I have on Steam for some reason.

I really like this game. Took 40 hours to get a 100% completion and did drag at times but was a lot of fun. Doesn't push the genre ahead but is such a fun thing.

Outlaw is very different than the first game. The original is capital ship combat (broadsides) only with no Z axis. Outlaw is a dogfighter and is very reminiscent of Freelancer.
