Wow that's exactly what happened to me in Dirt 5, going back and forth on that menu being like, wait what? Now if only the "resolution" mode that is performance mode actually didn't constantly drop frames on my ps5, or more importantly, if only the game didn't crash or soft lock literally every time I played it... that would be cool.

Just wait until Jeff hears that Dirt 5 has essentially been unplayable on PS5 since release because it crashes and erases your save. A bit more bothersome than image quality settings.

@kazzerscout Seriously? They had that problem at launch for the PS4. Dropped a day one patch that made your old save useless. But it wouldn't overwrite the old one so I was in a limbo of no progress until I deleted the old save.

@shindig: They have released a 2.0 patch on PC today that apparently will fix the problem on PS5, but it hasn't released there yet. Also half of the trophies were bugged and impossible to unlock and still are at the moment.

That bombcast segment was hilarious all the way through. The simulation break was the icing on the cake.

Brad's scream of triumph there is a perfect mirroring of his scream of anguish from when he gets chance time'd by Drew in the first Mario Party Party.

That was the most clutch play by Brad at the end. For those that missed the full stream I think he did it again on the world 9 bowser? Brad doesn't miss folks.

This has probably been addressed already, but my thought about the difference between prioritizing "Image Quality" and "Resolution" would be that Image Quality mode would give you higher quality textures, lighting, shadows, etc. at a lower resolution (say 1080 instead of 4K), and Resolution mode would give you a higher resolution (4K vs 1080) while also giving you lower quality textures, lighting, shadows, etc.

I would think it's kind of like video encoding, where you can do a higher bitrate at a lower resolution, or a lower bitrate at a higher resolution. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
