People definitely burn leaves, just not in urban settings or suburban ones depending on your locale. Its fairly common in the midwest to burn things in a metal barrel or pit if you live in the country. Also summer rules, fall & spring are nice too, but winter sucks ass. Driving in snow is a nightmare, and makes dealing with driving even more annoying than it already is. Some of us still have to drive to work every day lol.

I had a recurring character in my dreams that I couldn't put my finger on - every time they popped up I'd have a lucid moment in my dream like, 'It's that fkin guy in my dream again! Who is that?!'

The roundabout racism for the term Jerry can comes from the term Jerry - rig, which in racist circles replaces the Jerry with a different word to imply doing something half assed and lazy.

Edit: Oh, also, we obviously learned chem stuff in general science courses, but in high school all of the dedicated chem courses were electives, along with physics and human anatomy. I went with physics and anatomy because our chem teacher was a real creep.

@mikachops: I don't think it's weird like Jeff, it's just not common here. I shouldn't say nobody does it here, because I obviously don't know everyone, ha ha. But composting is pretty common, although most folks I know don't even bother with them.

@madmatt213: thank you! every single neighbor within sight burns leaves and illegal debris, many times unattended, and sometimes at night unattended. We are residential, but unincorporated. It's nasty and toxic, but i think these yokels just don't know or understand or care about the outdoor burning laws, or red flag days etc. We have free yard debris removal services but nah lets burn. We report them to the fire department because that smoke permeates and we can smell it inside our house and we now have a newborn. So yes, fuck them. If you live on your own stretch of land with no close neighbors, go crazy.

I don't think Jess is weird for knowing what SCP is, but I do think it's weird to be surprised when someone doesn't know something like that. I'm 37 years old (like a year younger than Dan) and been using the Internet regularly since around 2000 and didn't know what it is. To be honest, I still don't. I've heard of "creepypasta", but I really only know it from the Slenderman documentary. Then again, I never visited sites like Something Awful and very rarely visited 4chan.
