I love hearing The_Windbag talk about the particulars of his craft near the start of this one. Like he’s getting into explaining his process the way any actor or standup or musician would, except it’s this super specific livestreamed green-screen freestyle improv comedy music late night show thing.

Edit: Also that question about ants using the force and chimp nursing homes was a real wild ride.

I had to go back and check that breakfast sandwich again. Let this serve as a placeholder recipe in case we get any official word from windbag or jan ;)

The ‘Mr. Windbag’ breakfast sandwich (or The Windbag Sr.)

* Iron skillet medium high heat

* 1 regular breakfast sausage patty right in the center

* Cracked pepper on top of patty, flip, move to the side in the skillet.

* One pad of butter in the skillet

* One egg fried in the skillet - over easy cracked pepper on top

* Thomas English muffin, toasted until brown

Assembly:

mayonnaise and onion on english muffin then sausage patty then egg on top - dash of tabasco.

Important notes:

・Don’t over cook the egg - just enough so that it still runs

・Get the regular sized English muffin - not the big ones

・Mayonnaise and onion must go under the sausage

・Make two! You gotta have two

Dan had a pretty horrible family thing come up and was away for a bit as a result so they postponed Blight Club until he's back (CW: death, cancer Dan mentioned on his personal stream that a cousin he grew up with and was close to died of pancreatic cancer. Dan's doing a charity fundraiser this weekend during the Fire Escape GOTY podcast stream).

Holy shit Windbag knows how to eat. That's pretty close to my own favorite breakfast sandwich!

gotta say i might nt have cared for forkin' but outside of that windbag seems like a cool dude .. also that sandwhich sounds pretty good even tho i don't like runny eggs.

That sucks, complete legit reason to delay (although I wish they'd communicate things like this better - couldn't find any mention on Twitter about this and I don't listen to the podcasts any more).

I want to quote Tim Minchin regarding the absurdity of "guilty pleasures". He was asked what his guilty pleasures were and didn't really know what to answer so asked what kind of things people usually answer and his response was:

Those are your guilty pleasures? That shows an incredibly low threshold for both guilt... and pleasure.
