Seeing darksiders 3 on the deck I’m bracing myself. Want it to be good but reviews are pretty mixed from what I’ve seen.

If Darksiders 3 is more like Darksiders 1 than 2, I'll happily plunk down the cash. Zelda is taking its formula in new and interesting ways, but I still love the "here's a dungeon, here's an item, use this item to solve puzzles in this dungeon and also enhance your combat skills" pattern.

GOTY HYPE!

All the hot dog talk in the beginning got me thinking about Hershey Wood again.

It's interesting how much better the East team's voice sounds in this when compared to their own content. They really need to fix the audio clipping situation they have on the East studio.

The actual GOTY podcasts I barely ever watch/listen to because I disagree with their opinions so often, so I'm really really REALLY hoping for a similar set of videos to what we got a few years back. Those were some of the best content they've ever put out.

Jason’s always so quiet on both the Bombcast (including this one) and UPFs. I have a hard timing listening to this with just my speakers. Jason’s either too low, or everyone else is screaming as I keep turning up or down the volume.

We're in it! I love the full-crew nonsense season, looking forward to some fun stuff with everyone together for the next few weeks (and then all the holiday madness, of course).

Also RE: scooters: Drove to Austin the other weekend for a show, and walking around the area near Emo's was like an eScooter graveyard. Those fuckers were everywhere, with one particular strip mall walkway littered with at least 10 of them.

Side anecdote: In front of that same strip mall there was a giant inflatable Santa, which someone crashed their car into as we walked by. The person seemed fine, and St. Nick stood tall.

I really like those videos as well, I don't care at all about GOTY lists and rankings. But i love watching the crew celebrate the games they enjoyed throughout by playing them.

I'm surprised and interested by the lack of nostalgia the squad have for the PlayStation or the interest they had in it at the time, maybe there was a difference between the US and UK there? PS1 basically single handedly made video games a pop culture phenomenon and most people in their 30s are probably very nostalgic for it. It's the NES of mid-90s UK.

Now I think about it, a lot of the classic games on the system were British in a way that never happened again after that, this may be related in some way.

Sure, most of it doesn't stand up well today, of course.
