@bladeofcreation: I like a good challenge tho! Usually in these types of games I make it a point to learn all the combos, chain abilities, search for side bosses etc.. Like I love mastering a weapon in monster hunter, or exploring every inch of bloodborne, or learning all the combos and timing dodges/counters in ninja gaiden. But in GoW I just felt the combat was--not always, but often enough--frustrating in a way that made me just want to finish the story and put it down (and i know there was so much more to see/fight). Too often, getting hit felt out of my control in combat.

@moderatetrouble: Oh SHIT, I might need to get in on this vocaloid software. I have tonnes of Miku-like songs already in the works, so this would really bring them together.

Thanks for the info!

@brunothethird: Hey I'm so glad to hear it!! Just so you know, Vocaloid software is available in English! Specifically I believe all the most popular Crypton Voaloids (Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, Kagamine Len & Rin, etc.) are all available in English as of V4! Popular non-Crypton Vocaloids like Gumi are also available in English, however some run on the slightly older Vocaloid3 engine. If you ever make music, make sure to share it!! I love hearing what people make w/ Vocaloids.

Kind of bummed they spoiled that there's no Gavin payoff. I mean, I figured that was the case, but I was still hoping.

I've commented this multiple times, but I'll never understand the "people can hack Steam achievements so they're completely pointless" viewpoint. Yeah, people can hack them. But you know if you got it legitimately. Who cares what others are doing? And it's not like most of the userbase is hacking their achievements either. Achievement rarity on Steam is still pretty accurate and not completely out of whack.

Cheeseburger subs are not some obscure regional thing. I've had quite a few. They're good.

@moderatetrouble: Dayum, you really know your stuff; it's a fascinating branch/marriage of music and technology, much like the talkbox was -- I've become a bit obsessed with it over the last few years.

I have some software called VocalSynth2 which is packed with powerful voice modulation options that can make you sound like Daft Punk, Kavinsky, etc. I might play around with that and see how Miku I can get with it before splashing out on V4, but it'll be worth the money if I can't get that unique sound from my current suite of VSTs.

Oh, and I'll be glad to share some of my music with you when it's done! I feel your input would be valuable on it.
