Is this videogame hall of fame well regarded? Are there some knowledgeable highly respected people behind that thing? The organization seems a bit wishy washy to me. It being born out of a doll & toy museum and eventually making a switch to gaming doesn't immediatly scream legitimacy to me. Solitaire is fine, but if that's the kind of game you're going to bat for, what makes Minesweeper inferior as a game? Can we expect a Space Cadet Pinball nomination in the future? Lmao Jason getting excited about Ben liking Battlefront 2 only to realize Ben was referring to the old Battlefront 2 :D

RE5 is a delightful coop experience. It's short enough to be able to be completed in 1 sitting. Because it's not always easy for both be available, there's a real 'let's get through this' feeling.

This spring feels barren for games and these past two episodes highlight this. Double so if you're not a MK fan (pretty much the only thing going). Surprise indie devs aren't rushing to release their games given not much is fighting for attention.

This feels like a good year to catch up on those long games in your backlog that you've put off. Been working my way through Nioh, now that I can dig into an 80+ hour game without feeling the pressure of keeping up with the latest releases.

So wait, it says any early game? Could this be used to fuck with people who write a bad review for the game that they got through the official channels?

On the talk about VR stuff and porn - I'm still amazed that not only did Illusion finally officially release a game in English, but they just flat out put it on steam (and that afaik it went completely under the radar with games press). Still holding out hope for a steam release of Starless so I can idle it to be my top game.

Also it is in fact Panty Party. And on a similar tone, they released the Gacha DOAX game on steam in english but for some reason don't have it on western stores (you can dl it still since its free by using the install link).

On sonic - Jason is def underselling the size of the tooth removal fetish market.

Regarding Sonic, the impression I got from the producers' responses about the character design back when the poster was released, and now the director's apology for the trailer, is that Fowler is the guy screaming, "I told you!" and producers like Tim Miller and Neal Moritz were the ones promising this design was the way to go.

What good is a 150 person walk out when corporate planned it and allowed it during certain work hours? That isn't a walk out. That is a company picnic. I'm sure they were expecting a Jerry Maguire scene but instead they got the Leeroy Jenkins option.

In regards to Sonic at this point I don't care what Sonic looks like because, it is Sonic and Sonic has always sucked ass and attracted the WORST type of fans so what did you expect? I just wanna see Jim Carrey be Jim Carrey. There aren't really any truly funny actors around, there are people with comedic roles - but not fuckin legends like Jim Carrey. Sonic the hedgehog could be a blue piece of ham on a string for all I care as long as I get to see Jim Carrey make me laugh.

5 days until Rage 2 if you have any interest in that. I am personally very excited for that game just because the fact the Doom Eternal team has been working with them to balance the feel of the game and shooting in particular. All the content I have seen has been pretty amazing and I've already preordered it since as you said there hasn't been much out. I even purchased MK 11 on day one and am only about 1/3 through the story and don't wanna grind the krypt because of all the crap behind it that really tainted the game :( I don't know how they fucked it up but they somehow did with MK 11's grind. Maybe it is time to jump back into AC Odyssey or Wildlands until next week.

I'm ramping up to play Rage 2. I was a fan of Mad Max's car combat, so I have faith that the same team will deliver on their new project. I just hope that they kept the same car combat feel for the convoys in Rage 2.

BOMBCAST RULES

I'm so glad Jan is repping Battle for the Grid. Game is a real good Fighter that got overshadowed by the release of MK11 being right around the corner.

I normally don't pay much mind to this stuff, tons of people work super hard at Gearbox, but man. I just don't feel ok financially supporting Gearbox at this point. It's crazy. They need either a total management overhaul or else all those nice folks need to find new jobs at a less shady company.

Either way I'm ok skipping Borderlands 3. It's a shame but damn man. There's a line. You can't decry Pitchford then pay into him getting a huge payout when BL3 sells well. It's hypocritical.

Why was there an ad for Premium on the Premium audio Bombcast feed? Seemed like the oddest thing to do to people that already paid them to not have ads during the podcast.

Randomly paused this video toward the end as I realized I wasn't listening to it. Unpaused it and heard Ben say "The thing about Dota is..." and now i dont know if i can ever trust my intuition again.

I dont get why the team is so surprised that the studio Might have done this all with the back up of wanting to use a more exact copy of sonic. They have done that in the past for several movies. Plus movies do reshoots and touched up footage all the time. Xmen 3 added the juggernaut Bitxh cause a meme. Entire sections of movies are cut from the biggest movie in history ENDGAME with delicate CG used for trailers. Deadpool "leaked" footage to test audiences and than ran with the movie after audiences liked it then went on to keep it R rated like the actor requested prior (and was turned down cause R wouldnt sell according to excs) Point is the execs do not know anything about changing interest, times, etc they only know their old way of doing things. They definitely did this to gauage audiences or though sonic was fine but were budget to fix if there was issue. Its not that hard to do cgi when your just sholving it to the 4 or so studios that shovel it to someone else etc. Trailer stuff is easy to do plus sonic probably isnt in the movie much like Hulk in avengers or other cgi behemoths.

I also think MK11 was always planning to fix their loot box whatever thing. The game would ship with a few whales buying out what they can the non whales dont buy regardless so when the grind is lowered they look like heroes and they make the whiners happy while the whales moved on by then. They give out a few free currencies say how much they care and bang good press. The loot is at the level they planned all along. Like hiding dlc characters in a switch on disc back in the day were all just falling hook and line. That said this is easier to poke holes in since they could have just shipped to Reviewers a super easy game then patched in day one something grindy when reviewers were over but my guess is word would spread and people wouldn't update or something. They choose the best way to get paid...or idk they are actually not a greed driven company and just messed up.

@david_mcm: Its the team make up. The beast cast is like the one guy in charge of all these young kids who are excited and goofing. Real playful. The other cast is your dad's cast with more serious talk and scuffs at that thing you like cause were over it. Both have pros and cons. I put beast on when im getting a bit loose and relaxed to have fun like a friday. Bombcast is for when im in a mood.

PYF. I was partial to Rainbow Shell, despite it not having an idle animation. Other than that, I think I played Beach a lot just to get a little animation, and I also liked Castle. I don't know why there needed to be two clownfish, other than possible time constraints.

The links and all that to the right of the video are MUCH appreciated, however, I would request links to the sections of the show as well (what ya been playing is there, basically, but also a link to news and perhaps even the stories covered, and then the questions part but perhaps each question isn't needing or perhaps it IS!). Also, maybe I am wrong, but the list to the right is not in proper time order - ordering it that way would be very helpful!).

So I love it, but it still needs a little work. =-)

I'm with Jeff about thinking the band guy going up to tables and asking for tips is weird as hell. It's not like they went to the bar specifically to listen to the band's music. Having a clear way to give money or at least advertise your band is perfectly fine, but going up to people and soliciting them directly is not right. That's akin to a restaurant playing ambient music and then asking for customers to pay for part of their Spotify subscription on top of already paying your bill. It should be on the bar to pay their entertainment. Or, at the very least, tell the band not to pester customers directly.

Why is there an ad for premium Giant Bomb on the Premium podcast. Does premium no longer give you no ads?

Clearly a damn if they do, damn if they don't situation. Either they let premium users know that they can save 15$ in these few weeks, or they treat it as an ad and only tell free users about it with a chance that premium users, the group most likely to want to take advantage of this deal, will miss out.
