I wish they'd do something with the Nintendo Switch Online app for Mario maker. As it stands right now, I'm screenshotting level codes on twitter etc and then going ahead and having to input them in later. I know Nintendo aren't the savviest with online integration but I feel like they really dropped the ball on something that's not bad, but could be so much better.

I honestly don't get people who hate Ben because I think he is awesome and funny, I even get less people who have to share their hate for Ben like we and he give fuck. Literally what is the point? Do people feel better commenting here saying "blah blah blah I hate Ben waaaa waaaa" or do they think they simply have a power to remove him from the site? Guess what mofos, he is staying so fuck off.

@lonelyspacepanda: I think you mean limit talk they don't want on the site that they own and run. If someone wants to badmouth a staff member to a non constructive degree that badly they can find somewhere else/reddit or create your own site/forum.

Brad has developed so well as a podcast host that we're at a point where Jeffcasts are delinquent dives into the seedier parts of life like demolition derbies and fatty carny food.

I don't know what circles you guys are getting those impressions from, but the feelings of WoW Classic are decidedly very positive and nostalgic. Even players who were extremely skeptical of it like Venruki completely backpedaled on their stance once they got to play the beta.

WoW completely and utterly lost any sense of community with the introduction of cross-realm, and this brings that back, so people are pretty stoked. The leveling experience being meaningful and the world being dangerous again brings people together like it hasn't since The Burning Crusade.

That boba chain talk was dumbfounding. I've never seen a boba chain anywhere I've lived. They are always small family stores. My favorite was one here in Austin. Hilariously, a disgruntled employee opened their own boba shop literally next door. And if you ever asked the owners what they think of the other, they'd go on a rant saying how much they suck. I think both of them closed/moved.

My Dad is a retired American school bus driver. He receives a metric ton of gift cards and presents from the parents at the end of the school year. Over the last 5 years he has accumulated almost $4,000 in cards and hasn't used any of them yet...

Yeah, spreading misinformation with confidence is my biggest gripe with Ben since he's been at Giant Bomb. Sometimes feels like he just doesn't even care so long as he gets to say something. It's okay to not know something and not be sure! Just say so. Worst part is when chat tries to help him during live streams and he refuses to believe all of chat.

Also, they should definitely treat the Cuphead cartoon exactly like Tom & Jerry. A lot of characters briefly talk like Spike (I believe) and they did just that in the game with the shopkeeper and King Dice. Just keep it going like that.

Ben wants his video games to be a bit fked up? I think he should play The Sinking City by Frogware games then, that just came out. It's def a flawed labour of love.

Honestly, the main reason I come to GB is the humor, not information. It's a personality site IMO. Ben is a genuinely funny guy and i think he fits in really well with the rest of the crew.

Ben's "It feels like I'm drinking gentrification!" has been the best line in a while.

(I feel like passing along casual misinformation instead of stopping to look something up is a problem for everyone on the cast except Jason.)

The backseat podcasting going on in these comments of late is a huge bummer.

@indigozeal: Ben’s joke “it feels like I’m drinking gentrification” is exactly whats annoying about him. He’s trying to be clever, but the irony is he’s interrupting an actual Asian, giving his thoughts on “authentic” tea. Let Jan finish his answer to the question. Then Ben can chime in with his thoughts as a white dude on what “real” tea is.

Funny enough I thought that person meant the corndog knockoff that Jimmy Dean has aka a "pancake" shell around a breakfast sausage. Don't bother I can personally tell you they're not worth your time.

When your only comments on the site are shitting on Ben, you might want to take a step back and reevaluate your decisions and habits that led to that

I didn't get that from the exchange; Ben and Jan were just exchanging opinions on tea in a friendly, excited manner. I mean, the exchange started by Ben asking Jan for his opinions on the best bubble tea, deferring to him as an authority, and even though he visibly disagrees with the Boba Guys recommendation, he doesn't offer the "gentrification" comment until Jan gives his explanation as to why. (He's also quiet throughout Jan's subsequent recommendation for more "authentic" bubble tea.) Yeah, if you're annoyed by Ben's energy, you're going to be annoyed by this, but I never got the feeling that it was anything but two friends comfortably talking.

@indigozeal: just different strokes for different folks I guess. If you like him/think he’s funny then maybe his interjections are welcome. Personally I found them to be entirely too frequent. I wish he would choose to bite his tongue and let someone else have the floor once in a while.

I think the EGS turned ugly when they were like 'Yo we want to run an exclusive store that's all about visibility (so get out of the way icky indie games like Assault Android Cactus, visibility for the big games we're talking about). We will flex our money devaluing your games on a whim. Also devs, you all will be sharing your revenue with creators. Creators, you'll be making money on EGS games so stop streaming & making vids of games from competing platforms plz, ty very much. They're a long way off that so far luckily.

Sure, exclusivity deals with big streamers are already given. but financially incentivizing every big & small time creator by default to focus on the most profitable games on your store is doing the opposite of bringing visibility to more games. Especailly when having a viable streaming career is already a longshot and creators have to take the options that make the most financial sense.

Just to add to the UK voices chiming in:

- Thanking the bus driver has been a thing in the UK as long as buses have been around. You always say thanks as you get off, unless you're an ass.

- Pigs in blankets are sausages (traditionally small ones) wrapped in bacon. If you're putting it in pastry or bread you're just making a sausage roll. Which is way weirder to throw onto a plate of other food.

I never really gave it much thought but the misinformation given generally on site does annoy me a little, would much rather they said they didn't know or did a little research before answering. No biggie, I've learnt to take everything with a pinch of salt and accurate information is not why I'm here.

As another UK resident, it's rare that I ever see anyone not thank the driver when they get off a bus, one time, as a kid, a driver called me a "fucking prick" for paying for a ~£2 fare with a £5 note. He didn't get thanked but it was good for a laugh. Also, sausage roll =/= pig in blanket, although the biscuit thing is intriguing...
