He said at the end of his Tsushima/Trackmania stream it's his daughter's birthday today. His assignment was celebrating his kid!

Swery kinda walked back that apology. Barely changed anything and then denied there was still a problem when there's a lot of just...not great stuff in there with regards to the trans character. Like, it's fine. It's his game, and he can do what he wants. But he's not a good ally to the trans community, just putting that out there.

Really? He doesn't seem to be very up on Xbox. MS already came out and said the only BR in Halo is going to be the battle rifle.

Tamoor is great, glad to see him get to stop by the Bombcast.

I would never want to touch Deadly Premonition 2 myself but from what I'm hearing I wouldn't mind watching someone play it. Just depends whats the ration between goofy/interesting story bits and mundane fetch quests required to progress the plot.

I'm glad Atlus is still working on Shin Megami Tensei V. Atlus seems to be giving it just as much love as Person 5. I was worried SMT would stay with fairly static 2D graphics for a while.

As someone else said, Jeff isn't a huge Xbox fan/user or anything but he has history dating back to the reveal of the first so it's always nice to have his input on what they do next.

Dan literally did the order one of everything from Taco Bell on an old periscope stream (probably still hosted on the unofficial GB YT channel). I miss those Periscope streams where you would see everyone evacuate during a fire drill and awkwardly hang out for 90 minutes.

@entireties: It's funny. As an English person it took me a while to get used to US podcasts because of pronunciation and the different placement of emphasis between American and UK accents, but after a while you just stop thinking about it. It's the content that counts! Also, there's a huge variation in "English" accents. I'd say Tamoor's accent is neutral/London, but you should check out Newcastle and Norfolk accents if you want to see some of the variety!

Does anyone know what they were referring to by "WarioWare without the Wario"? Missed it while listening.

I wonder which streaming service will come to Australia first, Xcloud, Stadia or whatever Playstation end up doing on ps5. Then again, Playstation Now isn't even available here so maybe it'll just never happen..

@tempa777: well, if you're not trans you probably wouldn't take offense or feel anything when a game really screws up like that. It just hurts when someone paints themselves as an ally and then starts misgendering, deadnaming etc. Again, I'm not saying to rake him over the coals. But this was really disappointing to me personally since I've been a Swery fan for the better part of a decade.

I'd love it if he'd listen when he screws up and try to do better, rather than put his fingers in his ears and say people are overreacting is all.

Being an old Geordie (North Shields, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK) now living in Australia. I struggled with how slow Australians spoke back in the 70's, on the other hand they could not keep up with the speed at which I spoke, my accent or my colloquial Geordie. If people have a problem with Tamoor's pronunciation, they've heard nothing on how old Geordies speak :))

It's beyond time to turn off effects on consoles crap or not. DoF? Gone. Motion Blur? Vamos. Ray tracing? If needed, yeah.

I would give my right arm to have a beard like Tamoor. That is a damn good look. I need to check out more of his stuff, he is really good. Nice getting a new perspective.

Tamoor's style of in-depth game discussion makes me miss 1up Yours and GFW/CGW Radio something fierce.

I just can't imagine being disappointed by this turn of events, mostly because if I'm being honest, I expect the majority of Japanese game devs to be pretty homophobic and transphobic (if their game happens to have an LGBT person in it at all). Maybe not overtly bigoted and hateful, but at best I only really expect to see a really oversimplified caricature or stereotype. Like my expectations are just rock bottom to begin with.

With Deadly Premonition in particular, I feel like Thomas (and George) from the first game were already on pretty shaky ground. I think the intent was always kinda unclear of whether it was like "let's try to present some troubled characters who happen to be gay/bi and get way too wrapped in their weird murder cult" or "alright, the villains turn out to be some freaky gays, because the murdering and gayness is all part of the same insanity." So I'm not entirely shocked that DP2 doesn't have the most LGBT-friendly attitude in its presentation.

So yeah, hopefully Swery learns why parts of DP2 might cause offence or hurt those in the LGBT community, but I'm just not that shocked.

I guess ASMR *can* be a kink if you're into it *that* way--and that's cool if you are!--but it isn't an inherently sexual thing. It is funny though to see big ASMR channels get pissy about porn folks "ruining" the community lol, whatever that means.

@bisonhero: Yeah, I hear you. I guess after The Missing I was hopeful, but recently learned that game was made with trans consultants whereas DP1 and 2 were not.

Also, want to add that Mario universe should just have a Dry Dimension, and Dry Bowser is just the Bowser from the dry dimension. Then perhaps we could see Dry Mario and Dry Luigi as well.

As a Stadia user, Microsoft needs to bring xCloud to more devices before I can even bother using it.

I am excited about xCloud, as I'm fully in on our gaming streaming future, but I just want to be able to play it on something other than my Win PC that I absolutely hate using.

What was that iOS game that Tamoor was talking about? I just couldn’t catch it.
