Correction for this episode re: my comment that USB-C headsets work on the DualSense: Kinda Funny got out there and clarified that their footage had been misconstrued, and they were in fact only charging the controller on that port. So it's unknown if a USB-C headset will work or not (but I'd guess not).

Everyone's making fun of the mustache, but the real Wahlberg crime is whatever they've done to the rest of his face to attempt to make Marky Mark approximate a grizzled look. I'm also looking forward to whatever his attempt at a gruff voice is. Sully lives by the mustache and cigar, but it's really all about the voice makes the character.

This doesn't really make it better, but Wahlberg thought he blinded the man but the man actually lost his eye in the Vietnam War. Just for full context and not to exonerate Mark Wahlberg in any way but these incidents happened in 1986 and 1988. Ironically the incident with his neighbor was sparked because the neighbor "allegedly" called Wahlbergs black friend a racial slur so they got in a fight with him. I mean he probably is a piece of shit cause it's Hollywood, but reading that he threw rocks at black kids I assumed this is something that happened recently which would would've been really wild.

I know it's a meme to shit on Stadia, but give it a chance if you don't have potato internet. It definitely has the best tech of all the cloud platforms, and cloud gaming is the future. Gamers kicking and screaming about the injustice of it won't stop it from happening.

I think the prospect of having another half-step upgrade largely boils down to AMD and TSMC, rather than MS, Sony, and the video game industry. The OneX/Pro came about during a time when AMD was struggling for sources of income and had new process nodes available, so they were more than happy to sell a bunch of low-margin SoCs to MS and Sony.

This time, however, it's looking like AMD may be in a position of market leadership with CPUs which earn them much better margins than everything else, and it's much more questionable as to whether TSMC is going to be able to deliver large and cost effective gains from further nodes in the next ~5 years. There can't be a Series Z or PS5 Pro if AMD and TSMC are unable/unwilling to deliver a significant performance improvement at comparable costs in high volumes.

That said, I think the weakest aspect of these next-gen systems is the DRAM and storage capacity and less so CPU/GPU. There may well be room for a mid-cycle refresh that increases the NAND, but that's probably about it IMO.

The hand-wringing and the hemming and hawing over the stadia tweet was super confusing as someone who at the time, had no context to how it related to Giant Bomb. And because absolutely no context was given, I'm super confused on why it wasn't just reported on normally.

Hate to be that guy, but this needs to be said. When GB posted a picture of Ice Cube to promote their podcast over a month ago, the site when crazy talking about how Ice Cube is anti-semetic for posting a picture on twitter and demand its remove, which eventually happened. However, Mark Walhberg committed genuine hate crimes in the past, which includes throwing rocks at black kids and beating an Asian man nearly to death. I won't demand you remove the picture, this should be something that is done to show consistency on your part anyway.

BTW: To the people claiming it happened a long time ago, that the victims forgave him, and we should forget about it. Sorry, that is not going to fly. If next week GB does a Podcast talking about the upcoming Kingdoms Hearts dancing game and they post a picture of Chris Brown, that thread would be filled with hundreds of comments talking about how he is a domestic abuser and the picture should be removed. Even though Rihanna has been forgave him, still claims to love him as a friend, and the abuse happened over a decade ago. None of that would matter and you guys know it

Nothing more welcoming than seeing that asshole's face every time someone feels like spaming an emote. Bonus points to the fine upstanding members of our community who, during a discussion of why that is insensitive, still felt the need to spam it and to tell people to lighten up and stop being so stressed out over racially motivated violence.

@mozzle: Hell, even as someone that knew what it all was about I still don't get why they didn't just skip it as it's not really news or if they wanted to bring it up why not just talk about it.

edit: for all the Wahlberg stuff, dude seems like he genuinely regrets his actions and has tried to make up for them. It doesn't change that he did them obviously, but he himself has changed into a better person.

edit2: Cyberpunk has been delayed only 3 times also, which isn't really that much is it? The first release date was set for April 2020, then September, November, and now December.

The 7th gen i7 CPU that you guys are using is still more than capable and will be for a few years, you really don't need to upgrade and I wouldn't be using Watch Dogs 3 as a metric as Ubisoft's PC ports always suffer from poor optimization.

The Cyberpunk think is clearly just a case of the "gold" master is unacceptably bad and was rushed out to print something. They're banking everything on the day 1 patch.

I'd be very curious to see some gameplay of that unpatched disked version because I bet it's horrible.

Solo didn't kill Star Wars at the cinema, Rian Johnson did that with episode 8, JJ tried to salvage the trilogy, but it was shaky to begin with. Solo made Disney cancel further side-story plans, and that's what made Mandalorian spin off into a series. It has been phenomenal so far, and season 2 starts this week (tonight?). Ludwig Göransson also did a great job on the theme/score.

Edit: Wanted to add that Clone Wars was run by Dave Filoni, from Avatar The Last Air Bender (the animated series, what else would I be referencing?), who is now in charge of Mando w/Jon Favreau, and they should honestly make any movies moving forward. The actual series aside, how they chose directors/filmed the episodes is so fricken' cool too! It embodied how Lucas & ILM always wanted to push the industry forward.

This is just my take, as a humble Trek fan, who is in weird space with all the new content recently.
