The first song heard in CODBLOPSCW is Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum. The Stroke isn't heard until the beginning of the first mission in the Der Stier.

Regarding Warzone, I'm pretty sure when selecting Warzone from CODBLOPSCW it will simply launch Modern Warfare Warzone. The weapons from Cold War are coming to Modern Warfare Warzone in December.

@femaletanks: Oh god so much of what you said made want to just take a nap.

I remember trying to explain how one would number the COD games to my wife back when it was just up to COD: MW 3. Now I feel like it would actually break her.

Any chance of a 2 player sackboy quicklook? You can play with two people remotely if you do shareplay.

Am I alone in not caring for the last Call of Duty but loving this one? Most fun I had with a CoD game since MW/WaW (MW2 lost me with the double shotty spam).

Also loving the trigger tension. Feels like it encourages me to take my time to align shots and I'm playing the best I have with controller. I'm usually awful but doing good this time.

the issue with call of duty is that the COD community doesn't want anything different, they want the old games again. People complained to no end about mounting because "camping".

But also the COD community doesn't know what they want, every game is the worst COD ever released and the devs are chasing a playerbase that will literally never be happy because its a community with toxicity on the level of League of Legends.

I was in the middle of working on something so not focusing much in the early goings and randomly heard Ben say "raw dog it", laughed, and had a bit of a record scratch moment. Had to go back...it was definitely the first time I'd ever heard that term used to go without socks in shoes or slippers!

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the game we all deserve after the year that has been 2020. A true joy almost every moment I've played it thus far. Ichiban is already a classic character in the making.

@bathala: I tried to do the same, but it's pointless. Yakuza is just so much better. You'll be going from a toothless game that feels like it came out of a factory to something that was clearly made with a lot of passion.

(but I got Watch Dogs for free with my GPU, so it's probably easier for me to just ignore it.)

So, there are three Kings Field games for PS1. The very first one, only released in Japan, is not very good honestly, and is more just interesting if you like the souls games... But I tried King's field 2 (King's Field 1 USA) last year and that game is super neat as an open world game. Like, there are only two or three things you need to do for the critical path, but the world is full of fun and worthwhile secrets that were a joy to discover as I searched for the main line. The game is also secretly not that difficult combat-wise, specifically because health items are extremely cheap and you can spam them to heal yourself as much as you want; no animations like in the souls games. I haven't tried the other Kings Fields yet, but I can def recommend Kings Field 1 (USA)

(King's Field 1 Japan is more linear and very shallow. The combat is similar, but this doesn't save it imo)

@jeff I also have a bunionette - it sucks!! But I found that orthotics really helped - they prevent your feet from 'everting' and placing too much pressure on the outside of your foot. I got custom ones from a podiatrist and I highly recommend it.

So far I'm loving the PS5, but it does seem to have its early issues.

I did encounter a hard crash while playing Miles Morales, shortly after the latest firmware update, but so far it doesn't seem like a constant pattern, or at least I hope not. All the issues people bring up about how tedious it is to transfer saves and what not is valid. When I tried to transfer some games from my PS4 to my PS5, not only was the wait very long, but the transfer cut off... on a fast LAN connection. So I decided to just transfer the game saves and download the games I wanted to play again. However, the biggest personal issue for me is how long it takes to charge the dual sense controller. The PS4 duel shock controller took at least 30min or less to charge and would last for 4-6 hours. The dual sense takes many hours to charge and only last couple of hours wireless. I know it has all this new fancy tech in it, but that's inexcusable. They need to fix that quickly.

None of this has soured my PS5 experience, but some corrections need to be made.

I started playing Eternal Ring, which is *basically* King's Field 5, a few weeks ago on the ole PS4.

It"s super neat. Like the letter says, it's staggeringly That Game as far as being a Souls precursor goes.

What's more interesting to me though is the very idea of going back to play old console games that aren't the "best" ones.

I loved what I played Eternal Ring. Caught myself going down the hole of praising old game design vs modern games.

The thing is though playing it in 2020 as a novelty, totally in a vacuum from what else was contemporary, is such a different experience. I'm going to bet that playing that game back at PS2's launch would have very possibly sucked.

Sure you"ll have the folks being like "No man you don't get it. Here's how you enjoy one of these Field-likes" and I'll even say they're probably right. But at the time? I think most people would have bounced the fuck off that game. Also I don't think it'd compare favorably to it's peers.

I think bad games can really benefit with age. Well maybe not bad but rather the 6 and 7's out of 10 if you will. Sometimes it's way easier to over look somethings flaws in favor of whatever it's doing right when your base line is that you're about to play some "old thing" without any context of time and place.

Also speaking of FromSoft; shoutout to the Another Centuries Episode games. So good.

I could see myself getting excited for adaptive triggers back when i wasn't old, but now i don't like vibration, and i take shooters pretty seriously enough to play them all on PC where i use a mouse, which doesn't have any kind of trigger, even for other games like Forza i turned the trigger vibration off on the Xbox pad because it was silly.
Funnily enough the mouse click is like the ultimate match grade trigger, so for shooters it's perfect already, i'd be one of the people turning off the extra features.
