I'm kind of shocked that all four of these guys weren't aware that Mac Tonight (Moon Man) is on the ADL's database of hate symbols and banned from YouTube after it was adopted by America's alt-right / legions of white supremacists.

Remember that time, like over a decade ago, when some white-supremacists tried to co-opt Mac Tonight? That was weird. Like a proto-Pepe the Frog.

MacTonight is a classic 80s icon.. of fast foodconsumerism. So, yeah. Classic 80s icon. I remember the McDonalds outside Disney World had a life size musical statue of him. I also met actor Doug Jones who played him at a con. He was the sweetest guy. He gave all his fans hugs. Though it was kinda like being grabbed by a gangly fish man as you'd imagine.

The fact that you can't bust a windshield up in Cyberpunk but you can dynamically destroy patio chairs makes me think they have a lot of fundamental engine upgrades just... turned off right now. Seems weird to have that attention to detail in one obscure place but not another more visible one.

I like super meat boy forever, been following the discord channel for the past year. They re-made the game from the beginning of 2019, and only developed it for PC and Switch and no plans for mobile. I think it's different, and at the beginning I was missing a stop button but after playing it more I realized it's cool how it is. And it's hard as hell. Also I don't think it will work on phones, the jump dash dive is too hard to pull off with touch in my opinion. I don't think they'll do a phone version.

I appreciate this context because I've been playing it and not loving it and was scratching my head at how it took so long to make what it is currently.

My yearly update of Star Citizen: it's still money laundering.

It was hard to tell if Brad realized that the reason the PS4 Pro stayed at $400 for four years was because it was a massive success for Sony. Demand for it from consumers never wavered at its launch price until now when the PS5 is out.

Also, still can't process this "malls are dead" thing. Here around Chicago, many of them are jam-packed pretty regularly. Somewhere to go inside goes a long way when the weather's bad. Hell, even during covid they've been packed (to the point where we walked in and left after seeing how busy they are).

I wonder why @jeff doesn't play Half Life Alyx wirelessly in his backyard or something rather than try to play in the limited space by his PC. It takes a bit of light hackery, but it's not too difficult to setup Oculus Link to work over wifi. I've done it on the Quest 2 (not with Half Life, but other games) and it works really well.
