Seems to be no in between with the new COD. People either hate it or love it. For me, It's the most fun I've had in yeeears.

So I guess Jess will be a regular on the podcast from next week?

I really love having Ben on the podcast, his diverse set of games he plays and his opinions and recommendations are always a treat to listen to.

Popeye is positive in a lot of ways. He encourages you to eat spinach, which turns out to be very important, especially when you get older. He stands up to bullies like Bruno. He fights for his woman. And he has a great classic video game.

lol Battlefield V had no problem selling you sick nazi skins, it was actually kind of amazing (ly bad) how hard they leaned into the axis/allies as aesthetic decisions totally separate from their real life historical counterparts; like they tried to adapt the Star Wars battlefront ethos of "ignore the fascism, the empire looks cool" into real life.

I'm kinda upset that Danny said that Europeans drive on the left side. There are as far as I know three places in EU where they drive on the left, Irland, Malta, and Cyprus. That acount for about 6.5 million out of the 445 million population in EU. UK also drive on the left but they also decided that they don't want to be a EU country so they can do their own weird driving thing.

Ben's right about one thing - Snickers suck. (I cannot endorse any subsequent statements made about an album and its quality.) Might be one of the only things I've ever agreed with him on...

I am glad the voice mails are moving to their own show. They're ok every now and then, but they are not nearly funny or entertaining enough to be a constant feature. They really dragged the Bombcast down. Not that emails are always amazing, but there's something about voice mails that causes people to try harder to be funny, and it almost always falls flat as hell. Now they're contained in a show I can safely ignore. Although the shows on GB I can ignore are piling up and piling up... quite sad.

@elwoodan: If I recall correctly, they didn't actually sell Nazi skins; they sold German Axis skins, with the Iron Cross.

There is no way that EA is going to sell actual Nazi skins.

@jodon: I think most of the places that still drive on the left are island countries, so they don't conflict with neighboring countries driving on the opposite side. I saw a movie once where they had to switch sides of the road crossing the border between Norway and Sweden back in the day, since they drove on opposite sides, it was an interesting thought, but seems like a lot of trouble in the modern day.

Ben is always such a welcome addition to the bombcast and it's sad to see him off it again, probly won't watch voicemail dump since I always skip it in the show but that's not Ben's fault.

Danny for everyone's safety I'm not sure you should be allowed to drive a car (or dumptruck) in most of Europe my friend. Things are gonna go bad if you drive on the left side of the road in other european countries than Ireland.

Danny talking about Europeans driving on the other side of the road... it's just the British Isles that drive on the wrong side of the road. The rest of Europe drives on the right side of the road. Also most of the British seem to think of Britain as separate from Europe (not because of Brexit but because it's an island)

As a vegan I have to chime in on the eggplant debate: Eggplant is the saddest most pathetic "vegetable" ever. An eggplant is just water and really shitty pulp that turns into a sort of slimish floppy compound once fried.... It has no flavor of its own aside from what I can only describe as the flavor of a cactus that's given up on everything.

Vegans generally hate eggplant. Zero nutritional value (literally just water) and it's essentially just a side dish that lazy restaurants offer vegans as a meal. It's like just having some ketchup and pickles.

One pound of eggplant is 137 calories.... and it would have 5 grams of protein... That's literally less than pretty much every vegetable you can find.

To reach your daily caloric target of 2000 calories you would have to eat 15 pounds of eggplant.... At which point you'd have to chug a bunch of protein shakes to get to your protein target, cause you'd be nowhere close.

The only way to make an eggplant taste good is to slather it in fats and cheeze and stuff... Guess what? You can slather pretty much anything in fat and cheese and it'll taste good.

Eggplant brings nothing to the table. Nothing. It should feel nothing but shame for even existing. Fucking trash plant.

Know why there are no eggplant flavored things? No flavor.
