You probably realised this already but your cam was going dark because you have it on auto exposure and everytime your TV in shot had a bright screen your cam went darker to compensate........ Lets make this a nightmare!!!!..... Have the comunity decide what shows up on that screen live on air........ I'm sure thet won't cause any problems right?

This was a great one! I'm a huge Silent Hill fan (I even kind of like the bad ones), so I'm really excited for the new show.

The conversation about glorifying American wars got kind of awkward, but Jess and Jeff G was 100% correct with their points, especially on the one about Vietnam. The only game I played that was based on that war was Nam-1975 by SNK. And for bonus points SNK also did Guerrilla War about the Fidel Castro and Che Guevara rebels overthrowing the Cuban goverment at the time. SNK wasn't afraid to go there. Amazing how they were able to port the game to the NES and release it in America. I guess it helps that it is an awesome top-down shooter.

This was an amazing bombcast. Jess is an amazing addition. Just renewed my sub to 2023 to show my support.

@av_gamer: Yeah, the war discussion went on kind of a weird tangent. I think I’m behind Jess’ general point if her point was that after World War II and the Korean War, most American wars have significantly lower public support and/or the history books don’t consider the end result as a huge success, so making a “fun” video game about them is trickier. If that was her point, it got a little lost in mentioning “the good guys” over and over. Most wars don’t have good guys, it’s warlords or empires or superpowers squabbling over territory or resources or maintaining military alliances out of obligation or trying to look like a tough guy on the world stage.

Well, that was... Bad.

Fun fact: The wiggle wide car glitch is in the original game as well.

No yeah I was being reductive and talking from the point of view from a developer that may be trying to make a funtime war game. I absolutely do not think war has "good guys", it's just that some silly gamers (and the people trying to sell stuff to them) need that simplistic good vs evil narrative to have a war-like make sense and not be a controversial wreck.

Rockstar might be too good for these remasters, but Take-Two fully is not.

Roku Giantbomb app, seems to be in fact, jacked. Has been for a while now.

The value I see in awards categories like "Best Indie" is simply to cast a spotlight on games made by smaller teams that don't get the marketing splash that a game put out by a large publisher would have gotten.

I feel like games published by Devolver are perhaps already starting to toe that line a bit and I think it'll definitely be something to keep an eye on now that Devolver is public.

Those categories are probably the only ones I care about because sometimes I'll see something that I wouldn't have found otherwise. Although usually the nominees are already big names via word of mouth, sometimes a game will have slipped past me and those categories are an extra avenue of game discovery.

Battlefield isn't that bad as a long time battlefield guy I think this game has a solid core, it just needs work. Halo Infinite is pretty dope too, I'm in FPS heaven

I thought the same thing when they announced that Danny and Tamoor were going to play through every Soulsborne game.

That new 20th anniversary XSX controller has that see-through look to it. It looks great.

Oh and also, if anyone has the ability to make an LG WebOS Giant Bomb app we really need a new one and I’m sure many people would forever love you for building one. The current one hasn’t been updated in ages and it doesn’t remember where you left off in the video.

Really really REALLY appreciate that Jess talks confidently about older games. It feels like some other GB duders sometimes defer to Gerstmann too much on that topic. Not that I really blame them, considering Jeff's career, but after Brad left it felt like Jeff was left doing a lot of monologues.

Do you think all the programmers, riggers, artists, etc of a game that wins an award all get shared custody of that award? Or they make hundreds (thousands?) of that award and give them to each and every person in the credits? Do you think an award makes up for years shaved off your life from overwork?

Of course not, I know you're purposefully misunderstanding me. You know that I was saying "I don't think an industry that normalizes labor violations should continue to incentivize those violations by giving awards to games which are made under horrific working conditions." Not the insultingly reductive thing you said.
