I do not have a smartphone, dont miss it. I use a normal 10 buck mobile phone and use my consoles/laptop to access the internet. I know im not in the majority but still, Id have to buy one to voicechat and access certain functions on the switch? lol.

I get a little tired of the constant Nintendo defence. voice chat through a smartphone app is dumb.

Yeah I love these guys and this show but this was ridiculous. I'm the person who wanted to chat with my friend on Mario Kart and Splatoon. I'm the use-case they said didn't exist. Skype wasn't an option, believe it or not.

I'm being totally honest when I say this: anyone who complains about the PS4 power button is either physically blind or being hyperbolic. My, now, one year has never had a problem with it from the second she turned off the system accidentally. She now, even without looking at the system, can turn the system on/off and eject the disc. She's also had 0 problem turning the Xbox One off/on but she does that one more because it constantly spits noise back at you when you press the "button".

I've always been baffled when people complain about it or say it doesn't work, but the answer to that might just be your "button" is messed up. Some PS4s shipped with a defect where the small metal piece that allows the "button" to make contact with the mobo doesn't work: this can cause it to where the button doesn't work or your PS4 may turn itself off with no notice. the fix is simple and takes like three minutes but it can be pretty annoying if you don't know what the cause can be.

I know some websites have actually taken the (wasted) time to write up about how its impossible to find the Ps4 "button" but, again, those articles and those people are nuts.

edit: I also have no idea why, or how, people get excited over anything involving cellphones these days. After turning off/deleting social media apps on my phone I really don't even bother with the thing much anymore except for work email.

That's the adorable Sarah Podzorski. She was on the podcast before as an intern, I think around the time when Hiroko was going on maternity leave. She's back full time now.

Uh, I'm late to the party with this one. When and why did Mark leave? I always assumed he wasn't there half of the time because he was running some management kind of deals and all that stuff.

The switch chat app is fine. I don't even want to bring the smaller Xbox or PS4 headsets when I go out but I sure as shit bring my apple headphones. And when I'm home just use any chat app you want on anything.

And kids shouldn't be online chatting with randoms anyway. Best for everyone.
