@moderp: you've probably never heard them reference 8-4 play as the name, but you've definitely heard the name Mark MacDonald in GB stuff, and these guys always tend to show up around GDC for a guest spot on the Bombcast. They're long-term friends of the site since around the time Patrick was still on-staff so they kinda go way back with the team.
@moderp Mark McD and John Ricciardi have been on Giant Bomb shows many times in the past. They previously worked in games media and were associates of Jeff and the old GB gang. Now they work at a game development studio in Japan that specializes in localization. They're basically a GB sister podcast. I started listening to them a few years ago when I got into Monster Hunter 4U because I knew them to be big fans from their appearances on the Bombcast, but I found them to be really entertaining so they've become a must-listen podcast for me ever since.
@liquid3600: Same here! I actually bought a 3DS because of their podcast back then and MH4U. They had that famous MH Youtuber on and listening to them talk about it made it sound amazing. Talking about 100s of hours in MH, etc. It created so much FOMO haha.
