There Is No Game and At Dead Of Night both looked like really good games. Jimmy spooked me pretty good, not going to lie.

The best thing about doing UPF--sorry, relaxed Friday streams--this way is that Vinny can join in regularly.

Extremely same! I loved Contradiction and finished it before watching the GBeast playthrough. Was stoked to hear they made another game, and it looks great, but while I love seeing other people play horror games, getting chased around is too stressful for me to enjoy playing myself.

When @vinny says "who is this guy" at 1hr 59min during Duck Tales moon level, its the aliens from one of the greatest episodes ever, when they go to space with an actor, but he thinks the entire time that its all a movie. Episode name is "Where No Duck Has Gone Before"

Man, Ducktales brings me back - one of my favorite NES games as a kid. A very good memory, unlike reading pretty much all of the Tek War books as a teen, which is a very embarrassing memory.

Jeff is spot-on about Shatner doing exactly one take, and basically sight-reading the script - if you've ever seen the Star Trek animated series from the 70s, that's *exactly* what he sounds like in that, too.

@crush-zombie: I think Brad has been told before but he seems to default back to his idea that it's a Disk System game, which it is not, the Disk System was pretty dead at this point and most games were back to being on cartridge.

FYI, the Japanese versions of the classic Castlevania games (better soundtracks included) are readily available in that Castlevania anniversary collection that was released on Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.

I feel like that would be something Jeff would know off the top of his head if he could've stayed for CV3. It's also worth noting that the Famicom Konami games with custom graphics/sound chips won't work well on US NESes (I've never tried it myself, but I've heard of people trying them and the games looking/sounding like trash).

While we're on the topic of NES soundtracks, the unfinished prototype for the NES version of SimCity that was originally supposed to come out alongside the SNES port (which was a launch title for the SNES) has a pretty nice soundtrack as well. The songs are mostly different from the SNES OST (I think Dr. Wright's theme is the most similar between the two), but the song progression is pretty similar in that it starts off really calm, and builds as your city grows. It was done by Soyo Oka, who did the SNES port's soundtrack as well as Pilotwings, Super Mario Kart, and Super Mario All-Stars' soundtracks.

The moon theme is great. I showed up on the newest Ducktales show had it show up, and they added lyrics.

Oh boy do I miss those old DOS games.

Maybe instead of GOTY content, we could have more of this?? I don't know, but I'd rather have a positive 2 hour stream than another hour of discussion on how "bad" Cyberpunk 2077 is.

Maybe just think about it. The whole GOTY discussion thing has been close to unwatchable for me for years.

At Dead of Night is super impressive. I'm really interested to see if the developer continues with this. Never thought I'd say this, but they found a way to modernize FMV.

Oh man, that Dead of Night is from the Contradiction devs makes that statement about streaming the whole thing a little more pointed haha
