I didn't know chop windows was something I needed to know about.

Probably a little late to tell you this as you probably finished your playthrough of Outer Worlds but i know somewhere in the game i saw an option to "hide helmet" so that way the helmet is still equipped to your character for armor points and skill points but you can see your face. However they do not surface this option well because it took me forever to find it.

Abby is great, just like mutton chops.

If a game with a character creator has a "hide helmet" option, I will find it within 2 minutes of starting, without fail. That said it should be more easily-discoverable in The Outer Wilds. Still, a good game.
