My first guitar was a beginner-tier Epiphone SG (that's still fun to play!). Glad to see the Big E represented on a major album like this.

I agree that the first song ("American Star") is the worst on the album by a healthy margin, but it improved my opinion of the album overall thanks to the tone it set. It feels like the total opposite of Van Weezer, where the first few tracks lull you into a false sense of security until you get Crazy Trained.

(I might unironically enjoy "Get A Life" from this album, what a dumb and fun song.)

I had a music shop completely across town from me call some years ago to come check out a guitar they had just received as a trade-in. It was literally a Lyons (Target brand) 1/2 scale Les Paul with EMG humbuckers swapped in.
