(Haven't listened yet) Finally, 80 minutes of 'Are you a peepee or a poopoo?' questions for the Albummer crew.

Just kidding. "Are you a peepee or poopoo?" is actually my question. Retroactively add it to the mailbag, please.

re killer album, Goodbye Cool World for me, I got sent a link to Album Minus Band and To Leave or Die in Long Island like the week I finished school and shit just fell apart. GCW blew me away a few months later when it came out.

Drew you ever listen to the flaming tsunamis? where do you fall on the last four RX Bandits albums?

I listened to the GBHQ episode, but don't remember what Drew and Jeremy's opinions on Tool actually were. That said, I'm sure they were 100% correct.

I enjoyed this, it's a cool idea. They should invite questions from the audience too. (please) The band I most dislike is Kiss, they offered no fun. It was cool to learn that Emily likes Hip Hop, and no one mentioned the Paul McCartney dirge that is Mull of Kintyre which is so achingly bad

We already have a St. Anger snare apologists. Listen to Sanguisugabogg's full length album and it fits right in with the grime.

A friend got me into Five Iron Frenzy and they got me into ska. Haven't listened to them in a long time, but my love of rock with trumpets is quite strong.

@mekon: such a horrible song. It was on the radio lots when I was a kid and it’s just interminable.

That obnoxious snare sound was actually pretty common in extreme death metal at the time. Or a sample of such a snare in bands that utilised a drum machine.

Given Lars' weird comments at the time (pre-release) comparing St Anger's sound to Meshuggah's latest album (Nothing). It wouldn't surprise me if he picked up the idea from some random extreme metal band at the time.

I've been thinking about the question about preferring artists who change their sound or keep doing their own thing and I think I fall directly in the middle, in that I like bands whose sound changes a lot over the course of their career, but not necessarily in one go. The Beatles would be the obvious example, since while their sound did change drastically between 1962 and 1966, they were so prolific that you can chart their evolution across their albums and singles, so there's a clear evolution to their sound that is more gradual than the end result suggests.

But there are exceptions, like I used to be massively into Kanye and nothing was more exciting in popular music to me than when he released "Black Skinhead" and it sounded so wildly different from everything he had been doing, and his willingness to change his style between albums was one of the main things I loved about him. And at the other extreme, one of my favourite bands of all time is The Fall, whose sound didn't change all that much over nearly 40 years.

I checked out that Robert Sarazin Blake album Jeremy suggested while working this morning and damn he was not wrong. It's fantastic and beautiful. Favorite tracks after a first listen are Up in Your Attic Room, Roll on Ladies, and Once, Maybe Twice. Definitely recommend to anyone into folk.

I was thinking Perfect From Now On or Keep It Like a Secret for the comfort album question, Emily continues to prove her coolness.

@littledansonman: Also this! Love Built to Spill. I would also put There's Nothing Wrong With Love on my list as well. That was my intro to the band and it has a special place in my heart.

I first saw the infamous 'Mr Hands' video after downloading what I thought was the first episode of Season 2 of Lost from Limewire. Credit to the person who uploaded that file by making sure the file size wasn't suspiciously low by putting 40 or so minutes of pure black nothingness on the end of the video.
