I've been listening to that playlist for a while now. I have a new appreciation for some of those songs after focusing on the drum parts.

I wonder if Alex knew he would end that day a legend. The Megadeth song at the end was incredible. The drummer faces were incredible.:

I listened to support Alex because it was an incredible effort for charity not to see how good Alex is at rock band.. If your friend drums for 12 hours to raise money for charity I might listen to that as well to cheer him on. Please post a link when it happens.

@tgjessie depends if you think smoking up w/steve miller is an interesting story. Personally i think it might be better suited to a second screen while playing something else, it is mostly a guy drumming

This stream was one of the most amazing things I've seen. Alex you completely killed it, I was totally enthralled the whole 12 hours.

I think a big part of this stream being so unbelievably fun, to even watch in repeat after having seen it live, is so much that Alex puts on a bit of a weary persona at times, even if it's a joke. It's just way too entertaining to watch him doing something he's so good at and clearly enjoys sooooo much.

@dovah: I know what it was going towards; I researched it myself and came to my own conclusion, which I won't get in to here. But the guys could have done a better job of explaining it at the start and more periodically during their streams. In comparison, the way AGDQ handle that stuff is a lot better.

I fast forwarded to a random part and saw Opeth - Heir Apparent pop up. I was like "Awesome!" Alex said "Oh, anyway, this'll suck. Here we go!"

And then proceeded to somehow have an entire conversation with Vinny and get 92% of those notes.

Man, I have to give Alex props for a couple of reasons:

Firstly, the guy is a fucking machine; twelve hours of drumming is just downright ludicrous! Awesome job, duder! Thank you for the absolutely awesome stream!

Secondly, my newly-expanded spotify library thanks you for the sick new jams that this stream introduced me to (I'm looking at you, Sunday Morning).

The live stream was incredible. Such an amazing job and performance! It was hypnotic.

Alex and Vinny are the best. I'm watching this in fits and starts but I'm incredibly impressed with Alex. I know I shouldn't be since he's a legit drummer. I can see why he loves the Rock Band games so much since he gets to do some dope drum technique without needing to deal with the drama of real life band mates and band practice. To be fair I know next to nothing about the bands he's been in, I just immediately assume that drummers are typically in the most stressful position. Thanks again for everything you guys do, for me and for the kids.

This was strangely inspiring and somewhat moving; a crossover of gaming ability and real life skill. Watching Alex power through 12 physically demanding hours with a smile on his face has given me a renewed appreciation for both the Rock Band series and the life-affirming power of music. And all for charity! Genuinely uplifting stuff, thank you @alex!

The Primus song you played was actually "Jerry was a race car driver" not "John the Fisherman". Not that I expect you to remember what song you played by a particular band three hours earlier in this marathon session.
