i don't know if it would be a good strategy or not, but what if one person rushes for the special form, and then protects the other one while he then gets his upgrades.

That way you get one really powerful character early on, instead of both characters being pretty weak through the whole thing.

There are, by and large, two types of enemies in this game:

a) The shambling undead.
b) Fursonas.

This is Altered Beast's dissection of the Man vs. Self conflict, as you are playing a shambling undead soldier with multiple fursonas.

Scholars are divided as to what the beanbag leeches represent.

I watched a playthrough of the arcade version of this game and people were right, it does look better.

Fun Fact: The Atari 2600 joystick controllers could fit into Genesis controller port.

Our new dog destroyed one of the controller cables, so my brother and I tested to see if it would work. The single button was the attack, wolf dash, dragon field, bear jumping spin attack, etc move.

We figured out how to manage our lives and power ups so that it was possible to still beat the game without a regular jump button input. The dragon flew and the bear attack was itself a jump so that helped.

And of course, playing the Sonic games was also totally fine playing with an Atari joystick.

@estragon: They tried that last time. They ran into trouble because the Beast person tried to kill the wolves, which led to him getting them all. I suspect fast Beast is probably the best strategy, but the other person needs to kill the wolves.

Gameplay tip:
Tips for Eyeball monster boss: Don't be inside him, just be slightly above and to the left of him and spam the hell out of lighting. When he opens up his hitbox becomes huge and so long as you are not inside of him you don't get knocked back, and can keep shocking him.

Tips for rock snail boss: Nothing, you guys do it perfectly.

Tips for the Gator Ball Boss: Use the up-down tiger attack to fuck him up from behind when he drifts forward, and stop before the pans back and knocks you out. Stay ducked to avoid the lava balls, and use the up-down tiger attack to kill the little dragon projectiles ASAP as soon as its safe (which is when he's not shooting lava balls). The key to Gator Ball is to not lose patience and make sure you kill the little dragons.

@nickfoley: Are you using a Giant Bomb chrome extension? I'm running one that hides progress bars for This is the Run videos but it still shows up for other ones.

@danryckert When Vinny says he can't tell who he is when you're dragons, as someone who isn't color blind, I wasn't sure how different they look, so I ran a screenshot through a filter.
