This Is the Run: Altered Beast - Part 06

I love the way Vinny hates this game.

I have to say I had my doubts about them choosing this game once I learnt how short it was, but after this episode, it's living up to the 'This is The Run' name.

I love it since I sometimes accidentally move the mouse, see there's only a few minutes left on the time bar, and immediately know they're going to lose soon. This feature really keeps the suspense up for me.

This was a great episode.

The best part is that the life bar doesn't refill between levels.

With no health items whatsoever.

@zzzellyn: I've been wondering the same thing, especially since they did that in one of the runs. I don't see the downside.

I'm betting on no less than 25 episodes for this one. Lol.

Man... every time I see an episode of TITR I enjoy the hell out of it. It is by far my favourite format for a video series!

I've known this game was bad since childhood, but I never realized just how bad it is. With the now established context of having spent several decades playing games, I can truly appreciate how bad this game is. Thanks Giant Bomb!

For anyone who has never played this game and is wondering if Vinny and Dan are just bad or if the game really sucks that much, the answer is that it really sucks that much. I know it looks like crap here but what you are not getting to experience is the complete and utter horseshit that is the nonresponsive and semi-broken controls in this game. I can beat a fair number of Genesis games (or at least I could when I was more youthful and my reflexes more responsive) but I'll be damned if I've ever even seen the level they made it to today, and I've even tried it with save states on the various emulated versions released over the years. The game just flat out sucks.
