Those tickets are not cheap! I wonder if we'll get any videos from the trip, but I can totally see the FIA not allowing it for dumb reasons.

That's so exciting you're going, guys! I've been to about four GPs in Melbourne. It's definitely a hell of a weekend. Do you have any pit lane walks as part of your package? That's something to do. Don't know what kind of extra-curricular stuff Austin does around the F1 racing at the track, but there's usually a lot to see and do. Have fun dudes!

I came for the Dave Lang impressions and I was not disappointed.

For any F1 fans in the Austin area, we should organize a viewing party at some sports bar or something on Sunday. I'm sure there are plenty of fans who don't have tickets that might be interested. I'm thinking of getting Qualifying tickets only but will be around on race day. Just a thought.

Red Bull appear to be testing their new cockpit canopy in Russia.

This looks a lot sleeker than the Ferrari 'Halo' design, IMHO. With the added benefit of not blocking the drivers forward vision, and protecting the driver from flying debris (like the bolt that hit Massa in 2009).

And as the old aviation adage goes, "Looks right, flies right."

First time listening to the show, never watched a race or anything I was just curious about how cars and hatsune miku were related......for the record I'm way more down to watch robot car races than ppl races

Royal Purple is an engine oil brand. Supposedly, high-quality stuff.

That was a very tenuous connection to Hatsune Miku. Just a name drop really. Anyway, Miku has very close ties with motorsport. Racing Miku is an official Miku variant, and the Hatsune Miku GT car has twice won Japan's GT-300 series. The same team has a Miku F4 for their junior drivers.

I'm traveling over to America from the UK to go to the Austin GP. Hope you guys do a meet up!
