I had to jump in. I am an animator, (self taught traditional then school for traditional-digital animation), and I have to say it's (yeah this is weird man) but, it is super refreshing to hear Jan say he doesn't like the look of stop motion animation. Neither do I, I respect it, I have dear friends that do it for careers (Laika), but generally speaking that kind of animation just looks so unsettling to me and always has. I don't know why (yes I do but I won't go into detail), but what Jan said tapped into a very deeply rooted thing for me and all through university I just had to keep that to myself because some of my best friends to this day adore, and put so much hard work into it, and talk it up as like, the best thing to come out of animation......and as an animator it just is like watching someone build and create with awkward stilted media for a product that is at best still very jarring and unbelievable to me.

So thank you Jan, I guess, for just saying it out loud so I could agree with (finally) someone who just isn't into stop motion animation's look. I know, weird, but listen this has been a very long road and I feel a lot better. Good show lads.

Growing up on Guam I was aware of at least two different Jollibees though I never ate at one. It's understandable over there since Filipino residents aren't uncommon but I wasn't aware the franchise had branched out stateside until Jan brought it up on the podcast. I think I was already swept up by the many American fast food chains that peppered food courts that I just never thought to try it. I've always been aware of that style of spaghehhh... but never thought it sounded appealing. From what I remember we did not have a Jack in the Box in Guam back then though that could have changed in the years that followed. Now I eat JitB occasionally and I hate having to ask for no mayo on my burgers. Make no mistake, those tacos are gawd awful, but they're cheap so hey I'll eat em'...
