Burdock root is aka gobo in Japanese and... yeah, it's basically a tree root. not like a tuber, like an actual root. I don't know why you'd want it in drink form.

@drm2thej: this is going to be one of the most British things I've ever written, but when I was a kid we used to get bottles of dandelion and burdock from the pop man. It was alright, not up there with Irn Bru or Tizer but better than the shit cherryade he sold. Next time he was around you gave him the bottles back to get some money back

Honestly dandelion and burdock used to be my favourite fizzy drink as a child.

You can get gourmet brands which are significantly nicer than the Barrs tasted here. I'd say it's less medicinal than root beer, but definitely with a flowery kick.

Whichever version you choose I'd still take it over Irn Bru, which is just filth.

That wine is about 4 bucks at Trader Joe's and is strong as hell. Not a bad way to spend an evening.
