My sister used to live in Leatherhead, and I'm not too far from there. It had an immediate Surrey vibe - there's a lot of those pink trees about (cherry blossoms?) - though I'm sure there's plenty of other parts of the UK that are similar enough. Then that bus said Epsom Buses on it (Epsom is another nearby town).

@zfubarz: Didn't realize they went paid. Spent a fair bit of time while it was free, but I guess cool that they figured out they had something worth monetizing. Meh lol

I woulda made fun of Ben's inability to know what side of the road he's driven on but then again he's been ACING the state/countries so far.

It's very distressing and horrifying watching someone (from the US) not know where the US states are or what they look like.

It speaks volumes about our education system.

I love how the art and the title can't agree on what this series is called.

I remember getting a perfect score on the States, capitals, and abbreviations test in school.
Now, for the life of me, I can't remember half of that information. Ben, I'm right there with you on a lot of this. You're knocking it out of the park, on some of these.

@cyrribrae: They went paid because it was costing them too much to pay for the Google Maps API themselves as you pay how much it is used. That's why they really tried to keep a free version going with a different streetview-like company but it's nowhere near as functional and is much less places around the world.

I'm sure they make money off it now that it is more popular but they really didn't want to make it subscription-based originally.

It only matters where YOU are at, Ben.

They should make a feature where they remove all the markings/lines/names from the map and ask you to mark where you think major cities/landmarks are located.
