I feel like there needs to be a crystal lizard intervention to snap Brad out of his Lizard Frenzy.

If there's one thing in Demon's souls I hate more than anything, it's probably the god damn crystal lizards that only spawn so many times. I don't even know why I need them yet, as I'm not a lot farther into the game than Brad, and I still hate them.

I also hate that I cannot seem to find any more ore to upgrade my sword right now. That's bumming me out, too. Although I have been using a sick fire sword that I am kind of enjoying a lot so that's satiating me for now.

Sure this lizard thing is cute now but just wait until he starts grinding them up and snorting them in the back hallways of the Nexus.

I think Brad needs to have a Crystal Lizard intervention. Why doesn't he try the Crystal Lizards from Dark Souls? They look much better.

Is the world mended yet?

Brad's crystal lizard addiction is, quite frankly, disturbing. Please get help, Brad. There's a lot of people who care about you.

If I learned anything from playing Demon's Souls PVP it's that you're being pretty optimistic about their server hardware.

They keep in form with the games premise of being difficult. You might need them to upgrade certain weapons to a really high level as they drop rare upgrade pieces, not all of which can be found in the game world if I remember correctly.

Brad drives me insane with the way he plays but I can't help but watch this show live every time. That first boss fight was painful.... ARGH! =P

Brad really needs a lizard intervention

Flamelurker seems way less aggressive than I remember him. I remember he kept getting up in my grill constantly - weird how you remember stuff differently. Somehow Brad makes this game look easy, kudos to you Brad.

Brad Brad. I cringed when he fought against Flamelurker, he didn't pay attention to his item slot UI, didn't play safely when he has small amount of health, equipped the wrong magic, the wrong item, etc.

But that makes this stream interesting, especially when Vinny starts shouting "What cha doin, what cha doin! "

Watching how Brad plays, I just know the Maneaters are gona tear him a new one when he finally gets to them. That's gona be a loooooong video.

how about instead of a death counter, put up a how many times brad says "oh god" "oh my god" or "totally" tally? if it was a drinking game, everyone would be dead. it gets so dang irritating.

I dunno I thought that would happen at Flamelurker but he steamrolled through that boss encounter, which ate up several hours of my life and made me leap from my chair a ragged, smelly, sweaty mess of a human being in triumph. I mean he even got a lot of these crystal lizards that I just straight up missed. Then again, whenever I think of why I had so much trouble when Brad is apparently breezing on through this stuff, even down to chasing down the lizards, it really comes down to using ranged spells.

Good for him though.

Brad loves him some lizards. Pretty sure I only got like 3 of them my entire first time through the game.

@humanity: Flamelurker is a very mage friendly boss, melee is another story tho.

Maneaters and overall the Valley of defilement are a different story, Looking at Brad's terribrad skills, those will probably be MUCH bigger problem. Even 4-2's old hero might be a lot of "fun".

also, at crazy lizard psycho Brad, the lizards you kill only drop very specific materials depending on the world. DarkMoonstone drops only happen on the Achstone of the shadowmen.

I also agree that crystal lizards are one of my least favourite aspects of the game, I've gone through it 4 times, and I've never managed to get a Pure Darkmoonstone ( and I know where the lizards are, and kill 90% of them)

And yes. Full black Valey of Defilement (5-2) is just... stupid.

Holy hell when he thought that a lizard was running way and ran outside the cave to see it was just a flying beetle was fucking hilarious and probably the point where I realised he may be just a tad insane.

It's yet another example for me of how Demon's Souls is significantly more arbitrary and infuriating than Dark Souls. Like the world/character tendency and the fact that you lose half of your HP if you're in soul form. I'm really glad those things are modified or removed in the sequels.

I've never gotten several of the rarer upgrade stones, even though I consulted several wikis and videos and tried every trick in the book. Half of the time they just straight up don't show up. That's not difficult, that's stupid. Just like the Valley of Defilement.

Love this feature, guys. Watched about half yesterday up to Brad's lizard run, and I swear he and Vinny have a scripted face/heel dichotomy going where Brad's the willing patsy for Vinny's trolling. I even enjoy Brad flipping out constantly over faulty controls, the camera and poor targeting. Been watching some of Patrick's DkS stream (on his YouTube page) at the same time and it's interesting just how different their respective play-styles are.

Regardless, keep it up. I'm on this train til the end of the tracks!
