@steveurkel: I can't think of any games like that either. The only big game for the rest of the year is Cyberpunk and that looks like shit.

The old games were super easy i beat them at 9 or so so his kid should enjoy the first few levels. That said yes its easy once you get muscle memory and it took like 10 hours as a kid 2 as an adult skipping boxes. These games arent so bad but gamers these days arent use to the difficulty and thats understandable. We mostly get games where jumping isnt really important. More slashing and shooting lol. Here's hoping platformers are back. Mario's been skating on being the only guy on the block and creativity hasnt maxed out since galaxy.

I got a $10 PSN code and used it to get this game while it was on sale last week, and while I am REALLY loving it, but after completing the first two levels 100%, I couldn't even come close to doing that in the next level without it losing it's fun factor, so I will be playing this to just beat it and go back later and try and complete the levels completely. All-in-all, the only change I would make would be the diamonds you get are currency, and you can buy the skins rather than tying each skin to 100% completing a level.

Also, I HATED the re-release of the trilogy (I loved it in the PSOne days, but the re-release showed me how out-dated it was), so this one scared me away from getting it on day one, but I cannot recommend it enough.
