Having in mind that he hates Pixar and Disney, that's one of the worst movies to suggest him. Inside Out is completely below average unless you blindly love Pixar.

I dunno, I am just not into this podcast series. It is a good series, but just more serious than what I come to giant bomb for. Last thing I want are these sorts of discussions in my entertainment, similar with politics, religion, ect discussions. Suppose not everything has to be for me :)

To be honest, the rest of the podcast started to get way to much serious for me to keep caring/listening as something entertaining (which is a shame, because I really like to listen to Danny and Dan), but those first 7 minutes about Dan's "whack-off adventures" were hilarious.

Same here. Not that there's anything wrong with the Podcast and I'm not saying that it has to be to our preferences, but I personally enjoyed it more when it was a bit more light-hearted like the ones with Jeff, Nikki, Tamoor and Paul Ryckert (the episodes with Nikki and Tamoor were my favorites so far).

He eventually gives things a chance and will admit it if he likes/comes around on it. No need to badger him about it though (e: not saying you are)..

Such a great movie, and yeah I think he would relate.

yeah! samantha's the best. so appreciative of her opening up and sharing her perspective/experiences.

and for the record- i also always found the pledge of allegiance really fucking weird. the name alone implies that we're commanding children to show their loyalty to the nation every morning- i mean, what the fuck is that? i get the rah rah go america thing...but don't pretend it isn't an imposition.

@mellotronrules: The pledge of allegiance is a sign of loyalty to the country and there is nothing weird about it. By reciting the pledge, every American promises to be true to the United States.

Daily recitation in classrooms is done to honor the nation and those who have made sacrifices for those living in it, but it is not compulsory. All a person has to do while others recite the pledge is sit down and wait until its over.

As far as children are concerned, its important to give them a platform to think about their roles as citizens in America. One purpose of this ritual is to instill a sense of patriotism for the country. People often hear the word "patriotism" and think of the term "nationalism".

A small dose of patriotism has personally helped me get along with others in my day to day life. It has motivated me to sign up for volunteer programs, hoping that I can make my community a better place. You can't force children to feel patriotic, but maybe such values might make them feel happy about living in a place that lets them choose how to express themselves. Once again that's "patriotism"; not "nationalism".

@hurtfulmadmax: What are America's values that necessitate a pledge of allegiance every morning in school as opposed to the vast majority of countries that don't include that as part of their morning routine for children? You say that you can't force children to feel patriotic, but you do realise that the practice, as the norm, is about as close as you can get, right? It gets especially leery if you start to get into the ways that this patriotism has manifested itself abroad and even internally in modern times, and I think your second-to-last sentence is a fairly poor argument on quite a few levels, from the 'maybe' to the notion of America as some true bastion of freedom, again compared to other Western nations.
