I'm having flashbacks to the Shenmue Endurance Run.

Defender of The Future is a weird one. There's this cool feature where you can like, hump the air while sticking up out of the water??? And you can slowly rotate around while you're doing it, sometimes at really weird angles. There's also a terrible underwater soccer mode.

Jeff is great and all but oh boy is it a far cry from the days with Dan and Drew.

Also i really hope Vinny plays Shenmue 2 someday that was such a grape series if only because it broke him which is so rare

Non-Playstation episodes still ain't as diesel in style, but at least most of those demos delivered (by being terrible or non-working) good laughs. Also only a month gap between episodes, nice! I'd be happy if that became the norm. I mean, obviously I'd take a daily DD episode too, but...I can settle for a monthly one.

Jason stumbling through Gauntlet Legends was pretty difficult to watch.

The first five or six Demo Derbies were Drew & Dan only I believe?

The local laser tag place had a Gauntlet Legends machine. Spent more money on that machine than any other arcade game I ever played. Rented the N64 version a few times too. Should have bought that in hindsight.

I love the Demo Derby series, but this was the first episode where I felt like everyone in the video gave little to no effort into playing these games at all (save for Jeff at times), which made it even more annoying to watch than how annoying it must be to play them.

Fun fact on 4x4 Evo - my name is in the credits. I was a beta tester and they just mailed me a beta disc and a finished copy. I played that game for probably hundreds of hours - the glitches were super fun. Ah, the Dreamcast.

God, I love Demo Derby. (and as always, here's my plea for some PC Gamer discs... I know it would take some work to prep, but it would be so very worth it)

Edit: All this Matrix-ass, 2000s-ass techno is making me miss Drew badly.

@turboman: I remember enjoying it the one time I played it in arcades way back when ($1 a play!? Fuck that), and wonder if the arcade machines are still available/playable (slash affordable).

My grandpa had a PC version of that casino game and I probably spent hundreds of hours playing Blackjack. I remember all those characters so much!

Also, Gauntlet: Dark Legacy on Gamecube is not only the best incarnation of the Midway franchise (an amalgam of all the console ports of Legends) it's in the top 5 of my favorite games of that generation.

A $50 3 line slot with only a $115k jackpot does not seem like a good bet to me. You could get way more free drinks playing a 25 cent machine and have just as low of odds of winning a much larger jackpot.

Holy shit i played a ton of that Hoyle Casino game and i forgot about it until now. I played had the pc version but ya, i remember everything about that game.
