Back when this came out, I always confused it with War of the Monsters. Never got around to it, but a low key dumb fun game like this might be a nice break from all the giant AAA games of this generation.

I have that exact reaction to above-ground pools too.

I have fond memories of this game. My mom bought it for me while I was spending the weekend at a friend's place, and I came home and spent was felt like hours anal-probing every single person to grind for upgrade currency. it's a very silly and positive memory. I'm glad this game is getting remade with such care.

That being said said, I remember nothing about it aside from the way the alien looks and the aforementioned anal probing.

This is one of those kinds of games I think I played, but then remember it was just a demo. I doubt I missed much and this doesn’t really change my mind.

Er, the game was just released less than a week ago.

Super glad this got a remake, I remember being really excited for it when it came out and then either renting it once/having a friend bring it over but never owning it myself and never really sitting down and mess around with it.

honestly this "level" of video game is missing dumb fun in the past few years, everything is trying to be so serious.

This and Paper Mario seem refreshing and I think thats why

I remember playing this game on on the Xbox and finding it fun. $30 for a remake seems fine to me. I'm shocked at how good this looks.

Just an fyi that making fun of Rednecks isn't really acceptable anymore. Rural Americans have some of the worst schools and working conditions of any in the country, with industrial jobs dwindling resulting in even poorer economies in their historically industrial-based communities. On top of that, "intelligent" Americans constantly shit on them. It's no wonder many of them turn to supporting a fascist who pretends to care about them in response. If your progressivism begins and ends at racism you still have a long way to go. The 2020 war is class war and you're a puppet until you recognize this.

Sorry didn't mean to direct that at you guys. Was only referencing the game's aged content and any viewers who might think that kind of stuff is totally fine. I know plenty people in my personal life and family who still talk like that and it's tiring. Enjoyed the quick look!

Southerners aren't a "race" so it's not racism to mock them. Just putting that out there.
You do have a point and, yes, there is a general kind of classist thing in how some of this humor comes off, but at the same time there needs to be intellectual honesty that if you align yourself with bigotry and fascism because someone made fun of you, the "making fun of you" is not the thing that made you awful, you were kind of already awful to begin with and the mockery was kind of deserved.
